A high IQ floor general with an advanced understanding of tempo, spacing, and how to get everyone involved. The ball was always in good hands anytime Padilla had it. He dictated pace with composure, didn’t turn it over and the correct reads consistently. Very poised, Padilla never allowed himself to be sped up, never forced his offense, and always seemed to know what he wanted to do with the ball ahead of time. His decision-making was surgical, delivering precise reads whether threading pocket passes through tight coverage or hitting shooters in rhythm off help rotations. He processed the floor at a high level, making plays as if he had in the back of his head, always aware of secondary options, and consistently putting teammates in advantageous scoring positions. His command of the offense and unselfish facilitation set the tone for efficient team play.
