The GMC still has available players who can make an impact at the next level in the 2024 class. Here are the 2024 available prospects in the GMC.
Owen Griffin Owen Griffin 6'4" | SF St. Joe's Metuchen | 2024 State NJ , 6’4 F St. Joe’s Metuchen
Griffin is one of the top available prospects in the GMC as he has the ability to play multiple spots in the frontcourt. The 6’4 forward uses his body to get position down low and can finish through contact. Griffin can also put the ball on the floor and knock down open jumpers on the perimeter. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and moves his feet on defense. Griffin is a physical forward prospect who is unafraid of doing the dirty work down low to help his team win games.
Ben Guy Ben Guy 6'0" | PG St. Thomas Aquinas | 2024 State NJ , 6’0 PG St. Thomas Aquinas
Guy is a new face to the GMC and should make his impact felt right away. The St. Peter’s Prep transfer has a good handle, which he uses to get into the lane and finish around the basket. Guy rarely forces the issue in the halfcourt and can find open teammates in the halfcourt. He makes it tough for his man to get to his spot on the floor and also has the ability to play off the ball. Guy is a tough guard prospect who should make plays at both ends of the floor this season.
Kiye Walker Kiye Walker 6'3" | SF Spotswood | 2024 State NJ , 6’3 SF Spotswood
Walker had a strong junior campaign for the Chargers and should carry it over into his senior season. The 6’3 wing is at his best attacking the basket as he is a strong finisher and does not mind drawing contact. He has the potential to defend multiple positions on the floor and rips down rebounds at both ends of the floor. Walker is a slashing wing prospect whose ability to finish at the rim will help his development in a big way this season.
Rion Ahmetaj Rion Ahmetaj 6'5" | SF St. Thomas Aquinas | 2024 State NJ , 6’5 SF St. Thomas Aquinas
Ahmetaj is a prospect to watch in the GMC with his combination of size and length. The 6’5 wing has a good handle, which he uses to get to the basket off the bounce and finish. Ahmetaj rises up nicely on his jumper and uses his size to see over his defender. He uses his length to make an impact on defense and is an underrated rebounder. Ahmetaj is a lanky, wing prospect whose versatility will help his stock in a big way this season.
Ikenna Ibeku Ikenna Ibeku 6'4" | PF South Plainfield | 2024 State NJ , 6’4 PF South Plainfield
Ibeku may be an undersized power forward, but that won’t stop him from making an impact down low. The 6’4 forward is tough to box out on the boards as he secures second-chance opportunities for his team. Ibeku holds his ground on defense and sets good screens in the halfcourt. He runs the floor hard and finishes well around the basket. Ibeku is a hard-working forward prospect who plays with a nonstop motor at both ends of the floor.
