Kisean had a couple of sound games for Springdale as they began their MD Private School State Tournament journey this week. Robinson bounced back from Springdale’s early MPSC tournament exit with a different style that I haven’t seen from him before. Kisean took the role of point guard strong against Hebrew Academy and again vs McNamara in the second round of states. He was controlling the pace, setting the offense, and getting his team into the right spots on the floor. We know about the scoring ability, but the patience he showed in his shot selection was nice to see. He got through the lane with ease and kept his defender on his back, but Kisean looked for his bigs and shooters on the wing rather than taking tough layups and jumpshots. Mixed in his scoring well with his passing, scoring in double figures and totaling 6+ assists in both playoff games.

One of the most impressive PG’s I have watched in the early part of the season. Kisean is a lightning quick up and downcourt handle, and elite perimeter shot maker. Athletic high-flying finisher at the rim, keeps defensive on their heels with his sudden short area quickness. Kisean has the Dog work mentality approach to his game. That the Division I coaches should monitor.

Kisean was the lead guard and seems to be the lead guy for Springdale as well. He came out of the gates looking to score first, and he caught a rhythm early on. Once Robinson was on, he was electrifying. He hit shots from anywhere on the court whether shooting or finishing at the basket. He is a very confident scorer who did not let his misses derail him. Knocked down plenty of open catch-and-shoot 3’s to show he is a threat from beyond just as he is a threat to blow-by and create a better opportunity. Plays with a chip on his shoulder all game and seemed to always be energized, leading many fastbreaks. Very nice ability shown from the senior PG.

Really dynamic at both ends of the floor and always around the ball, using his quickness to beat opponents to spots en route to 6 steals. Didn’t have a great shooting day from the floor but made his teammates better and got essential paint touches that forced the defense to shift.
