Eastern Mass Under The Radar Prospects

Some players may not get as much attention for various reasons as other players. Part of my job is to give attention to the players who may go under the radar. Here are 3 under the radar prospects in eastern Massachusetts. Abraham Banks, High School Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael (Brookline), Class 2024, Position SF, HT 6'3, Although Banks may play at a small school, his play has not gone un noticed to me. Last Season for the Flames Banks played mostly the three position, and was the teams secondary ball handler. He was primarily a slasher, but he also shot 41 percent from three point range. The team played a lot of zone during last season. They played a box and 1, and a 2-3. In the box and one defense, Banks was often the one who would play man against the other teams best offensive player. In the 2-3 zone he would usually play down low in the middle. On defense he moves well, and can defend multiple positions. Last season he averaged 23.3 points per game,10.8 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.3 blocks, and .6 steals. His two top performances last season came against Covenant Christian, and Katz Academy (second team). Against Covenant Christian he had a season high 37 points, including 11 in the 4th. Against Katz (second team) he recorded a triple double. A coupled areas Banks could improve in are shooting contested three pointers, and shooting off the catch. His strengths are getting to the rim and scoring with both hands. He has a decent mid range and uncontested 3 point shot, and he is versatile on defense. I have also coached Banks in flag football, and I can see how his Flag Football skill set can translate to the hardwood. I am not sure Bank's plan for after high school, but I do know he is going to play in the Maccabee Games this coming year. Evan Dunker, High School Trinity, HT 6'1, Position CG, Class 2025 Evan is a tough two way player, that has a competitive drive that you can't teach. He can get to the rim, and finishes strong though contact. He can also shoot from the outside. You can tell his basketball IQ from seeing his cutting off the ball, and how he takes advantage of what the defense gives him. Evan just goes out there and finds points. He also manages to still find ways to impact the game when he is not scoring the ball. Evan is a player that should really raise his stock in his junior year. He is also a good Football player, and on the team at Trinity. [player_tooltip player_id='1532641' first='Eli' last='Ifrah'], High School Westwood Position G, Class 2025, HT 6'0 The lefty Guard, has a good outside shot, and can create his own shot in multiple ways. He can rip and attack off the dribble, catch and shoot, or pull up from mid range. Eli moves well without the ball, and finds ways to get open. He has improved his off hand finishing at the rim as well. He is effective playing point Guard or Shooting Guard. He has a good shot selection, and does not force it. Eli could have a breakout year in his junior season.
