Their atmosphere is unmatched; Ranked as one of my favorite venues to attend solely due to its environment. Coach Kurnitsky says it best, “There is nothing like playing in the Raiderdome.”
Key Matchups: Early Season battle @ University Christian on 12/1/23.
Bishop Kenny visits the Raiderdome on 2/12/24.
Coach Kurnitsky is entering his 10th season at Orange Park High. Throughout the years, this might be one of the deepest guard pools I have seen in his tenure. Coming off an 18-9 season, their goal is to make a regional playoff run in 6A while improving daily. Here are some key Raiders to watch for this upcoming season.
The X-Factor:

l 6-1 l Guard
Every team needs an anchor, a player who defines impactful. Triggs might be the heart and soul of the Raiders team. His ability to read the game and turn the tide in crucial moments makes him an X-factor. Arguably one of the most versatile guards/wings in the 2024 class for North Florida. Triggs is an inside-out player who has improved his perimeter shooting and playmaking. Strength makes him a tough matchup for guards, his quickness makes him a tough matchup for wings. He wears down his opponents as the game progresses. Triggs averaged 12 ppg and 6 rpg last year; look for those numbers to increase.
Hidden Gem: Quayshon Blot l 6-5 l Forward
Blot is a true low-post player with the physique of a Tight End. He exhibits a lot of potential and has shown improvement over the summer and fall. Keep an eye on him this winter.
Impactful Transfers:
Josiah Cooper

l 6-2 l Guard
A solid two-way guard transfer from Potters House is a noteworthy addition to their solid backcourt. Cooper thrives on the defensive end as a pest defensively.
Jacob Henson l 5-9 l Guard
Henson comes over from Westside High. Henson is a high-volume shooter who averaged just over 12 ppg last year. Another guard who can score the ball but also helps alleviate constant pressure from other teams. Henson thrives on the perimeter and in transition.
Impactful Underclassmen: Keion Brown l 6-0 l Guard
There is a lot to like about this young man. He has limitless range with a green light to fly within the flow of the offense. Look for him to build on his second year of varsity ball.
