Today we will dig deeper into the Pennsylvania Class of 2024 rankings and review five players who used the camps and showcases in August as a well as September’s fall ball action to increase their recruiting stock significantly.
Below is a review of five “new” southeastern Pennsylvania prospects who made their 2024 rankings debut in our latest update.
#201… Myon Kirlew Myon Kirlew 6'0" | CG Norristown | 2024 State PA – 6’0” / Norristown / 610 City / Combo Guard: In the last three months, Kirlew has proven that he can run as an extremely effective primary ball handler or as a bucket getting shooting guard. Off the dribble, he is equally dangerous going left or right. When Kirlew puts the ball on the deck, he can score with ease, but he is also an excellent distributor. As a two-guard, Kirlew has the speed and finishing skills to score in transition. Plus, he can score at all three levels in the half-court.
#217… Josh McKoy Josh McKoy 6'5" | PG Berks Catholic | 2024 State PA – 6’4” / Berks Catholic / PMT Warriors / Shooting Guard: McKoy is multi-skilled backcourt prospect with length, a solid frame, and a high IQ. That trifecta of assets enables McKoy to play effectively as a shooting guard and as a “big” point guard. At either position, McKoy can score over or bully ball most defenders. His elusive dribble drive skills and athleticism enable McKoy to glide past defenders for lay-ins or dunks. McKoy is a solid spot three-point shooter too. At the other end, McKoy can defend 1 through 3 and is a decent shot blocker.
#244… Haze Puttlitz Haze Puttlitz 6'8" | C Delaware Valley | 2025 FL – 6’8” / Solebury School / East Coast Cyclones / Power Forward: Solebury’s roster features a pair of dynamic backcourt prospects. The more we watch of them, the more we like what we see from Puttlitz. His giant wingspan, solid frame and endless motor enable Puttlitz to be a dominant rebounder at both ends. Puttlitz is an intimidating rim protector as well. Offensively, Puttlitz excels at finishing in-close through contact. His pick-n-roll skills have improved dramatically of late and so have his passing skills. On occasion, Puttlitz will flash three-point range on his jumper.
#300… Jaden Flournoy Jaden Flournoy 6'0" | SG Abington | 2024 State PA – 6’0” / Abington / Team Final Black / Shooting Guard: Flournoy first grabbed our attention on defense with excellent lateral movement and quick hands. That combination frequently produces steals that allow Flournoy to display his athleticism, speed, and agility in the open court. He also impressed us with his ability to convert through contact in transition. Flournoy’s jumper has shown tremendous improvement this fall. His dribble drive skills need to be respected by opponents as well.
#315… Anthony Oliveira-Schultze Anthony Oliveira-Schultze 6'2" | SF Upper Dublin | 2024 State PA – 6’2″ / 2024 / Upper Dublin / Team DPS / Small Forward: This old school forward produces points via quick post ups, finishing off drop passes and the offensive glass. Oliveira-Schultze owns a solid face up game too. From the elbows he is a threat to pop jumpers or put the ball on the floor for one or two dribbles to get to the rack. At the defensive end, Oliveira-Schultze is a versatile prospect who can guard multiple positions and is an active rebounder.
