Saunders is very comfortable handling the ball away and facing the basket, shoots it well above average as well as gets it done in the paint. Probably projected as a stretch 4 at the next level, but has the versatility right now to be a post player or develop his face up skills and be used as a small forward type player.

Saunders is a rising junior who is gonna turn some heads soon. Zane is an athletic forward that is comfortable inside and willing to shoot from deep while being effective at both. Saunders posted a 27 point night Friday in a win, including a shooting clinic that included 6/6 from three. Saunders has some great counterparts on his South Charleston squad and will help keep his production maximized this season.

is one of the more intriguing 2025 prospects and left no doubt he’s on the rise and quickly. The junior at South Charleston, Saunders showed himself to be assertive and skilled in the paint. He has the athletic ability to work himself into a true stretch 4 and showed flashes while at AC. A big junior campaign at SC is likely in store.

is one name folks just became acquainted with this past summer so the anticipation to see him last Sunday was plentiful. Saunders did not disappoint in any way. Several raved about his fluid athleticism at 6’7″ and what seems to be a skill set that’s ahead of schedule for a junior of that size. Many coaches at multiple levels are awaiting his development in the coming season to deliver offers.
