Singleton continues to look increasingly comfortable in his new AAU setting, helping steer the Wiz Kids to a strong team win early Saturday morning with his potent scoring ability. Known for as one of the more refined and prolific snipers in the region, Singleton displayed his pristine mechanics and unwavering confidence while canning a handful of smooth jumpers. While his bread and butter is in the halfcourt, he impressed with his ability to adapt into a more open setting while showcasing some added athleticism in transition while getting well above the rim to finish. Fit will be important for him at the next level, as he’ll want to look for a program that fully weaponizes his shooting ability, but it’s easy to see why mid majors have prioritized the productive wing guard already heading into the summer.

The Singleton is a dynamic player who thrives in a three-level scoring role, seamlessly attacking from beyond the arc, mid-range, and in the paint. His ability to play with pace allows him to control the tempo of the game, making him unpredictable and difficult to defend. With impressive positional size, he uses his frame to his advantage, overpowering defenders while also navigating through tight spaces. Whether facing a defender one-on-one or catching a shot over them, his shooting touch remains smooth and reliable.

The highest-recruited prospect in the game, Singleton showed why he’s already been prioritized by mid-major programs with a dynamic shooting performance for his 24 points despite the loss. As polished a shooter as we’ve seen in the state, Singleton was typically dangerous as an off-ball threat running off screens all over the floor for a barrage of jump shots. He would knock down four 3s, often at critical junctures of the game, and also curled into the midrange for a handful of shorter jumpers. Singleton consistently shows the IQ and competitiveness to stick to his strengths, a key trait as he figures to be most successful as a plug-and-play system piece for the right program at the next level.

As polished an off-ball weapon as there is in the PSAL, if not the state, Singleton figures to be the key if Canarsie is to pull another upset and advance to the title game. He displays pristine footwork and a consistently fluid release while running off screens in the halfcourt or sprinting to spots in transition. Singleton also shows a high IQ on both ends in the floor game, consistently in the right positions to impact plays with his size and length. The system fit will be key for him at the next level without progressions in his ballhandling and athleticism, but it’s easy to see why mid-major programs have already begun prioritizing Singleton.

Singleton is a talented scorer who can get hot in a hurry. He has all of the tools to be a Power 5 level recruit. There are a number of programs in the Tri-State area that have been keeping tabs on him early, but the 6-foot-6 swingman could break out in a real way this Spring.
