On September 3rd the Prep Hoops Boys Top 250 Expo took place at the Phhacility in Phoenix Arizona. This event was filled with players from all over the state and some from out of state.

Here I take a look at some of the top scorers of the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='1297427' first='AJ' last='Thomas'] Eduprize

Thomas was on another level with his change of speeds and explosive ability in the open court. He was hard to stay in front of for anyone guarding him. Whether it was step thrus into a euro or just simply going around defenders, he spent much of his time finishing with layups.

[player_tooltip player_id='2147242' first='Isaac' last='McNair'] Premier Prep

Isaac might have been the leading scorer at the event. He used a good handle and a smooth first step to keep defenses guessing. His three-point shot was good enough to keep defenses off balance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1278778' first='William' last='Dixion'] Canyon Del Oro

Will was scoring from all three levels with ease. He used his frame to overpower defenders and blew by them when they got to close. When his perimeter jump shot is falling like it was, he puts tremendous pressure on the defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1036000' first='Khalon' last='Johnson'] Edurpize

KJ game has steadily improved to the point where he can almost get any shot he wants whenever wants to. His first step was too quick for defenders, and he finished with either hand. He showed why there's not many guards in the state with his offensive package.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150852' first='Denali' last='McNeal'] Canyon View

DeNali is a versatile guard who got his buckets in many ways. He scored with ease by hitting pull up jumpers, floaters and deep 3's. He might have been the most efficient scorer at the event in that he didn't need to take a lot of shots to get his points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1674458' first='Travis' last='Vasquez'] Deer Valley (Featured Image)

Travis is one of the fastest rising prospects in the state. He displayed his polished offensive game throughout the event. He scored from all three levels including playing above the rim, hit mid-range jumpers, and three pointers. He was too quick for bigger defenders and too long for smaller guards. Vasquez is in line for a big senior season.
