About Robert

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a combo guard who can play multiple positions and do whatever the team needs. I play with good pace, make smart reads, and value the ball. I take pride in my basketball IQ, competing on both ends, and making winning plays. I can handle it, score it, defend, and help lead a team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a tough competitor who works out every day and takes pride in getting better. I am coachable, focused, and willing to be pushed. I try to lead by example, stay positive, and bring energy every day. I care about team success and always look for ways to improve.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I play basketball for North High School and AAU basketball for Wisconsin City Hoops. A big part of my focus outside of basketball is school, and I plan to major in education in college. I take pride in representing my school, my team, and my family the right way.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Basketball has helped me build leadership, teamwork, discipline, and accountability. Playing different positions has taught me how to communicate, adjust, and understand the game at a high level. I have learned how to compete hard, stay ready, and put team goals first. I also understand the value of daily work, consistency, and being someone teammates can count on.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One of the biggest challenges I have faced is balancing school, high school basketball, AAU basketball, and daily workouts. It takes a lot of time, discipline, and focus to stay on top of everything. That has helped me grow, manage my time better, and stay committed to my goals. It has also made me tougher mentally and taught me how to keep working even when I am tired.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college where I can keep growing as a student and as a basketball player. I want a program with coaches who value hard work, toughness, and team basketball. Since I plan to major in education, I also want a school with a strong academic fit in that area. Most of all, I want to be part of a team and campus where I can work hard, improve, and make a positive impact.

Hutchinson got it going from outside the arc for Wisconsin City Hoops in its loss to Minnesota Rise. He had four three-point baskets in the game with each attempt coming from a bit further out on the court. Hutchinson also scored off drives to the hoop and from the free throw line en route to scoring a team-best 19 points. He figures to be one of the better long-distance shooters in the Big Rivers Conference next season.
