He had a solid performance at camp, but as I have said about him recently, I believe there was more he could have done to garner the attention of the eyes in the building. He has all the physical tools as he has length, good positional size, and the ability to get off the floor. His skill set is second to none as he handles the ball well, shoots it efficiently from the perimeter, can get to the basket and score the rock, and shows his unselfishness with his ability to set up teammates and orchestrate the offense. There are not many kinks in the armor, but he has to do the things necessary on stages like these that scream I AM HERE!

Caiden Botts (6'5/Wing/' 24/Link Year Prep)

Instagram: Caiden.botts

X/Twitter: @CaidenB00

Caiden was one of the well-rounded players at the camp. He did a little bit of everything very well. He showed a tremendous feel and high IQ when the ball was in his hands. He played with great pace, and his understanding of when to slow it down and when to accelerate was the best I witnessed. He is tough off the bounce and has a soft touch from all over the floor. When he was in attack mode, he easily got into the paint showing his comfortableness with using floaters and runners as finishing moves. He can use either hand and finish well through contact at the rim. I would like to see more from Caiden on the defensive end of the floor, as he has the physical tools to be a solid two-way player.

[player_tooltip player_id='2257850' first='Mehkai' last='Menefee'] (6'4/SG/'24/Dothan HS)

Instagram: mehkai_

X/Twitter: @mehkaimenefee

Mehkai is an off-guard with a good physical profile. He came into camp with an aggressive mindset and was looking for his offense early. He is a multi-level scorer that can score it from all over the court. He is a physical guard off the bounce and has no problem getting into the lane and forcing help. During camp, he looked to score early, and as time went on, he began to show his ability to distribute the rock. He literally showed his scoring prowess early and his ability to orchestrate during the latter part of the day. He was one of the playmakers in the building, as he has so many tools in the toolbox.

Mehkai currently holds one offer from Spring Hill College.

[player_tooltip player_id='1585284' first='Ty' last='Odom'] (6'2/SG/'25/Hartselle HS)

Instagram: ty_odom1

X/Twitter: @Ty_Odom3

Ty is headed into his Junior season, and I look for him to be a big piece to the Hartselle program as they look to move on with basketball without Kiah Key, who had been the cornerstone of the Hartselle program over the years. Ty showed what could be expected as he was aggressive throughout camp. He is quick off the bounce and understands how to create for his teammates and for himself. He is a listed shooting guard but showed the ability to be a reliable second lead guard. He showed he is a multi-dimensional scorer who can score from all levels but may have to settle at the lead guard spot at the next level. Until then, the next two years should be two that boost Ty's stock across the board. I like Ty's current trajectory as he is very smart, highly skilled, and has a brilliant floor game.

Kennedy Okpara (6'7/SF/'25/Silverdale Baptist Academy)

Instagram: Kennedyokpara_

X/Twitter: @Kennedyokpar6

Kennedy may have been the best player at camp. He is a lengthy wing player who impacted both ends of the floor and was one of the best two-way players in the building. One of the perks of getting Kennedy to bring his talents to your program is his versatility. He can board and go, post smaller players, bring bigger slower players out to the perimeter, and he can knock down the trey ball occasionally. He is at his best when out in transition and attacking off the bounce in the half-court set. He is a good finisher, with his length being a huge factor. He is a competitive defender with the physical tools to be able to fit into a switching scheme. His ability to dominate on the glass and start the break makes him an immediate threat to teams' transition defenses because when he gets going, he is thinking one thing: getting to the basket. Not sure how long this kid will stay unknown with only one offer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1091944' first='Tristan' last='Gilmore'] (6'5/F/'24/McAdory HS)

Instagram: _tristan32_

X/Twitter: @Tristangilmo

Before his hand injury, the eyes of many were making their way onto Tristan. He showed elite-level athleticism, versatility, the ability to defend multiple positions, and the ability to score off the bounce. He has good positional size and was taking advantage of mismatches. He showed extremely high intangibles, impacts games in ways that don't always show on the box score, and has a very mature game as he prepares for his senior campaign. His athleticism helps him to be a very good finisher around the rim, above the rim, and in the paint. I really do believe that had he not gotten hurt, he could have gotten close to walking away with the coaching staff discussing whether or not to offer this kid.

Tristan currently holds offers from: Alabama State, Kentucky Christian University, and Bevill State

Here is game footage on Tristan: https://youtube.com/@TristanGilmore32
