"At the first practice, these boys looked impressive and I could tell that when they finally grew into a team and learned each other's strengths. I knew they were going to be a very cohesive team that would be hard to beat. A team of speed, drive, and shooters, this team was going to cause problems inside and out. The season started out with some ups and down, but when these boys were finally able to play with the core group of members, they clicked and really put together a fun and successful summer and end to their AAU careers." -Travis Moser

[player_tooltip player_id='1145107' first='Landon' last='Moser'] (2024) |6'1 G| Northern Cass - "Continued to grow his game as the summer went along as he really got into a rhythm shooting the ball from distance and his mid-range game was on point in our last 4 tournaments. His confidence grew from there and his overall game was something to watch, he also brought toughness on the defensive end of the floor!"

[player_tooltip player_id='1168246' first='Braylon' last='Baldwin'] (2024) |5'11 G| Grafton - "Took hold of the offense and never looked back from the very first tournament of the season, once he looked to score (which is a strength of his game that gets overlooked in my opinion) our team was much better because of it. His ability to beat defenders off the bounce and get to the basket only helps set up his 3-point shooting because defenders have to give him a step or two or they will get blown by. His ability to read the pick-n-roll game is high-level. He takes it personally when he gets scored on and it almost never happens twice in a row."

[player_tooltip player_id='1705523' first='Drew' last='Overby'] (2024) |6'1 G| Thompson - "Is very streaky shooter and when he's on, be on the lookout because he will shoot it from 25 feet or further and it's going in. He's not given enough credit for reading his defender and understanding when he should curl or flare screens to get his shot off."

[player_tooltip player_id='1144605' first='Jake' last='Shobe'] (2024) | 6'1 G| Dickinson Trinity - "Is as good without the ball as he is with it, his IQ is at a different level understanding back door and baseline cuts and he finishes in traffic really well for someone who's 6'1. I haven't seen a player who can be going full speed on a fast break with the ball in his hands and then stop on a dime and finish with touch from 15ft. That is a lost art with most players but he does it effortlessly. He takes proper angles off of screens and uses the backboard like it's meant to be used on angled shots. Jake and Braylon were our best defenders and in the last 3 tournaments Jake was my guy who I put on the other team's best players to shut them down which he took great pride in doing!"

[player_tooltip player_id='1334001' first='Caleb' last='Enger'] (2024) |6'2 G| Northern Cass - "Looked to shoot a bit more in the second half of the season and was one of our best rebounders who used his length very well and I'm sure he led our team in blocks for the summer. He's good at rebounding the ball and getting our fast break started."

[player_tooltip player_id='1144987' first='Weston' last='Zacher'] (2024) |6'8 C| Grant County - "Our big man 6'8 what makes him unique is he can absolutely step out n shoot the 3 ball and if he gets a low post touch you can almost put 2 points in the book cause he finishes well around the basket. Zacher sets a heck of a screen and Weston also catches the ball well off of our pick-n-roll game!"

[player_tooltip player_id='1164807' first='Jacob' last='Nitschke'] (2024) |6'5 F| Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier - "Came on strong for us and really saved us in more than one game with his well-rounded offensive game. He shot the 3 well and then attacked the basket on baseline drives when the D closed out on him at the 3-point line. Our high-low game with Jacob and Weston was stellar at times and a matchup nightmare for teams to defend. Jacob still doesn't get enough credit for his ability to also lead our fast break once he secures the rebound, and he's always around the ball on the offensive boards with a nice touch on his put-backs."

[player_tooltip player_id='1146180' first='Jace' last='Jochim'] (2024) |6'0 G| Linton - "Was not able to make it to many of the tournaments but the ones he was able to make it to he was a difference maker for sure with his ability to score in all phases of the game, 3/mid range/off the dribble/off of screens/knocking down free throws. He has a great feel for the offensive end and has unlimited range also."

[player_tooltip player_id='1770389' first='Kyler' last='Droog'] (2025) |6'5 F| Grafton - "He was the only incoming junior on the team and was a great fit to our squad. Once he decide to be a scorer and not just a passer his game went to a different level and so did his confidence. He is 6'5 with a good build and a really nice touch in the post and must be guarded up to 15-17ft range or he will put up points. He's an underrated passer out of the post and does a great job of feeling his defender before he makes his move in the post. Has good feet and can guard multiple positions on the floor."

Player Comments from Coach Travis Moser

[player_tooltip player_id='1164807' first='Jacob' last='Nitschke'] - "I had the opportunity to help coach Jake last year, and I was so impressed with how much he has improved over the past year. He truly is the ultimate threat. He can play inside and outside and do not forget his midrange game. Essentially can play any position on the court and at times was the difference between this team winning or losing. He also rebounds well and has a good sense of where the ball will be on the defensive end."

[player_tooltip player_id='1145107' first='Landon' last='Moser'] - "Landon was one of the best defenders on this team, always challenging other guards and putting pressure on their offense. Landon has great body control and can finish through contact. His midrange game is by far his strength and something he has strived to improve. At the end of the season, he really got cooking with his outside shot, and it was huge at times helping this team pull away and create a significant lead."

[player_tooltip player_id='1168246' first='Braylon' last='Baldwin'] - "By far one of the fastest guards I have seen play this summer. Braylon uses his speed and his tremendous ball handling to get our offense going. He shot the ball well from the outside and had some highlight-style finishes in the paint. His defense really set the pace and he was the energizer bunny that got this team motivated when we were in a rut. This kid causes match-up issues even with not being the biggest kid on the court. Braylon's leadership style was not a vocal one but rather of example. When we needed a big shot or a boost of energy he was our go-to guy."

[player_tooltip player_id='1705523' first='Drew' last='Overby'] - "This kid has great work ethic, attitude, and personality. Drew plays outstanding defense and “wow” can he create and dish the ball. If Drew gets hot from the outside, look out, he will absolutely shoot you right out of the gym. Drew had a creative way to get into the paint and finish at the rim and has an absolute killer floater."

[player_tooltip player_id='1144987' first='Weston' last='Zacher'] - "BIG MAN!!!. Weston showed some great improvement over this summer. When Weston dug in and played aggressively he was the strongest kid on the court and could not be stopped. Weston also surprised many teams by knocking down the long ball when they left him open. He is automatic at the free throw line and has a nice hook shot in the paint. A true match-up nightmare."

[player_tooltip player_id='1770389' first='Kyler' last='Droog'] - "For being a year younger than all the boys on the team, Kyler fit in well and in the paint was an absolute stud. This kid can also do it all. He didn't really showcase his outside shot, but he embraced his role as our #4 or #5 and used his athleticism and his shooter's touch to be a true inside presence. When left alone in the paint or from the charity stripe his shot was killer and created matchup problems for defenders."

[player_tooltip player_id='1334001' first='Caleb' last='Enger'] - "The most athletic kid on this team. When defenders thought they had an easy layup, Enger would come out of nowhere blocking shots off the glass. By far the most aggressive player on the offensive glass grabbing huge rebounds for us on both ends. He can be very creative and was the best passer on this team always looking to create for his teammates. Caleb always wanted to defend the other team's best player, and even when outsized he played as if he was 6'6” player."

[player_tooltip player_id='1146180' first='Jace' last='Jochim'] - "Jace was not able to attend several of our games this summer, but when he could make it he was all in. He plays great defense, has great court vision, and can stroke the ball. He is a true all-around player."

[player_tooltip player_id='1144605' first='Jake' last='Shobe'] - "What more is there to say about this kid other than he is the most coachable kid that every coach wants on his team. There is no task Jake would not take on and talk about a player who has a sense of where to be off the ball. I have never seen a kid with such good timing on his cuts and for a lefty, he has the softest touch and one of the nicest midrange shots I have seen. It does not stop there…..this kid can absolutely defend. He not only uses his speed and endurance but has some of the best hands I have ever seen. No guard was safe bringing the ball down the court around this kid…a true nightmare for opposing teams."

"In summary of the season, it was just like I said at the beginning once our team was able to play in some tournaments they all got to know each other and each other's strengths and were able to understand their roles from game to game. Our team had good chemistry at the end of the season while sharing the ball, using quick ball movement, and playing at the pace that fits both our personal and personalities as a team. We had an ultra-competitive group here and it showed all summer long with how they competed and just wanted to do whatever it took to win!!"

PHD: What are some highlights that stick out to you?

PHD: How did your team handle adversity?

"Our team handled adversity pretty well considering we had an average of only 7 kids per tournament this summer so our boys got plenty of conditioning in and never quit. Coming back in a few games was fun to see. It would have been easy to just lay down, instead, they fought back and won a couple of those and fell short in a couple."

PHD: Who do you have as your top shooters?

"Top pure shooters on the team are [player_tooltip player_id='1705523' first='Drew' last='Overby'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1146180' first='Jace' last='Jochim']. Our most consistent shooters for the season were [player_tooltip player_id='1164807' first='Jacob' last='Nitschke'], [player_tooltip player_id='1145107' first='Landon' last='Moser'], Braylon Baldon, and [player_tooltip player_id='1144605' first='Jake' last='Shobe']. Jace and Drew, when they get hot they stay hot, shooting the ball but the others were just more consistent game in and game. What makes them all really good is they can all shoot from a distance, midrange, and off the dribble, whether it's on pick-n-rolls or pull-ups, or any type of screens to get their shots off."

PHD: Who do you have as your most improved players?

"Most Improved players, [player_tooltip player_id='1145107' first='Landon' last='Moser'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1168246' first='Braylon' last='Baldwin'] for the way they could figure out how and when to score in certain games by understanding when the team needed a lift from them (on the defensive or offensive end of the floor) and knowing when they had a mismatch they could exploit."

PHD: Who was your hardest worker?

[player_tooltip player_id='1144605' first='Jake' last='Shobe'] would definitely be second for the very same reason and he brought it on the offensive rebounding part of the game also!"

PHD: Who was your best defender?

PHD: What Tournament was the most fun?
