How did AAU go?
AAU went pretty well. We had a pretty good summer.

What cities did you go to?
Atlanta. Lakepoint. Louisville. Alabama.

Did any colleges reach out to you this summer?
Bryan College called me the other day. They saw me in Atlanta.

Tennessee Marathon, is that right?
Yes, sir.

Did you do any camps?
Yes, sir. I went to Lee University's Elite Camp last month. I went to TSU's Elite Camp today.

How was today's camp?
It was pretty fun. I played pretty well.

Were there any interesting aspects to it?
I would say 5-on-5. We played 2 13-minute halves. It was competitive.

Are you doing any other camps?
I am going to Alabama A&M on the 16th.

How did your HS team do in June?
We lost a lot of seniors. Our seniors were more of our starters and playmakers. People that didn't get to play much last year stepped up this summer. We won a lot of games and only lost twice.

Who are some of the guys who will play a lot?
We had a transfer last year. Jakiyah. We also had a transfer from Bob Jones named Johnny. He will be pretty good for us.

We have a pretty good freshman coming in. Cason Howard Cason Howard 6'0" | PG Giles County | 2027 TN . He is maybe 5'9".

What are you expecting for your team this year?
I think we can make it back to the state tournament.

Did you lift weights this off-season? Or, what do you do personally?
I train with a trainer named Ben Bates in the mornings in Lawrenceburg. After that I work out with Howard Smith, our assistant coach.

What are some skills you are working on?
Taking it to the rim. I didn't do much of that last season. I am pretty long, so I am working on being more aggressive and getting an easy finish at the rim. And moves off of the dribble.

How tall are you right now?
6'6".

Do you have any relatives that played high school or college sports?
My dad. He played, I think JuCo ball.

Are there any pro hoopers you try to model your game after?
Brandon Boston.

How do you liken yourself to him?
He is tall. Long. He can play outside the perimeter very well. Shoots the ball very well. I have the same build kinda.
