We have plenty of headlines from the recruiting trail to catch up on this week. The basketball season doesn’t stop, it just take a little bit of a break.
Layne Taylor Layne Taylor 5'11" | PG Farmington | 2024 State AR -Point Guard-Farmington-5’11” 2024
The Farmington point guard has exploded this offseason from a recruiting perspective. Taylor does a great job of finding the open man as he is driving to the basket. He is not sloppy with the basketball. Taylor seems to know where his teammates are on the court at all times. Over the past few weeks, Taylor has earned scholarship offers from Sam Houston State, Tarleton State, and Appalachian State. He is going to close out his high school career in strong fashion this upcoming season.
Amare Neal Amare Neal 5'10" | PG Tuckerman | 2025 State #375 Nation AR -Point Guard-Tuckerman-5’10” 2025
Amare Neal Amare Neal 5'10" | PG Tuckerman | 2025 State #375 Nation AR is a point guard that does an impressive job of shooting the basketball. Neal passes the ball well and does not mind driving through the paint. He has good court awareness and knows where his teammates are on the court at all times. Neal has a smooth jumper and can hit the contested shot. Neal has earned an offer from Mississippi State and is hearing from George Mason, Alabama, and Kennesaw State on a consistent basis. Neal is a prospect to watch out for over the next couple of seasons.
Caden Miller Caden Miller 6'9" | PF Bentonville (AZ) | 2024 #219 Nation AZ -Power Forward-Bentonville-6’9” 2024
One of the most impressive post players in the state of Arkansas. Caden Miller Caden Miller 6'9" | PF Bentonville (AZ) | 2024 #219 Nation AZ causes plenty of problems for opposing defenders in the post. He has a number of moves in the post that help him get to the basket and get his shot away. Miller is a strong rebounder and has no problem doing the dirty work in the paint on the defensive end of the court. He has earned scholarship offers from Mississippi State, DePaul, and Central Arkansas. However, he is hearing from Xavier, Arkansas, and Cincinnati on a regular basis. Miller is setting the tone for a big senior season this season.
Annor Boateng Annor Boateng 6'5" | SF Little Rock Central | 2024 State AR -Small Forward-Little Rock Central-6’5” 2024
Boateng has had an excellent summer on the club circuit. He has showcased a strong jump shot and a willingness to work the low post on a consistent basis. Boateng does a great job of driving to the basket and finishing. He sets up the open shooter well and has no problem finding the open man. To wind down his summer, Boateng has narrowed down his school choices to eight teams. Auburn, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, LSU, Missouri, Ohio State, Indiana, Virginia Tech are all in a good position to earn the services of the talented Little Rock Central forward. He is expected to have a strong senior season to close out his high school career.
