Jacob Gilchrist Jacob Gilchrist 6'6" | SF Twelve Bridges | 2024 State CA-N 6’7 W/F of PHPS 17 Hamilton, Twelve Bridges HS
Gilchrist one of NorCal’s top prospect plays at a small school outside the Sacramento area. At 6’7 he does a lot of good things with the basketball in his hands, and on the court. He sees the court for good passing, he gets to his spots for mid-range jumpers, or drives into the paint. He can finish with paint jumpers or challenge defenders at the rim. He has a good stroke from behind the 3pt line. He’ll rebound
Jeremiah Butler Jeremiah Butler 6'2" | SG Inderkum | 2024 State CA-N 6’2 G/F of PHPS Hamilton 17, Inderkum HS
Butler continues his good play from Section 7. We like the thick body physical guard who loves to use his body to get what he wants. We know now he has the hops to dunk on defenders, he did it multiple times at this event with authority. He uses his dribble with balance to get into the paint. His mid-post back down generates points. He’s one of the better rebounding guards at 6’2.
Kendahl Hearne Kendahl Hearne 6'3" | SG Sacramento | 2024 State CA-N e 6’3 Guard, Count The Bucket x GU 17, Sacramento HS
There’s a little rust from football, though you can see he’s one of the better athletes on the court. He’s playing at a good pace settled and picking his spot to exert his energy. He’s making good decisions with the ball. He’s tough to defend in the open court. He has strength and toughness challenging at the rim. He gets good lift on pull-up jumper. He’ll rebound and defend with good effort.
KJ Ramey KJ Ramey 6'2" | SG Laguna Creek | 2024 State CA-N 6’3 CG, Count The Bucket x GU 17 Laguna Creek HS.
Ramey plays under control at a good pace. He has speed and quickness, he can turn on the jets to go get a bucket in transition or along the perimeter. He can get hot and drop 3’s with range coming down in transition or spotting up along the perimeter or off the dribble. He has the tools to run the offense up top. He has the speed and quickness to be a disruptor on defense.
Nick Corbett Nick Corbett 6'6" | PF Bellarmine | 2024 State CA-N 6’6 W/F, College Park 17u, Bellarmine College Prep HS
Corbett shows more each time we see him play. We know he’s effective around the basket with touch, combined with strength to get points in the paint. We’ve seen improvement away the the basket. At 6’6 he’s showing form with range taking, and making 3ptrs. His use of the dribble with control on the perimeter and in transition shows he’s been working to improve in those areas.
Jaden Washington Jaden Washington 6'7" | PF Justin Siena | 2024 State CA-N 6’7 W/F, 707 Premier, Justin Siena HS
Washington perhaps was one of the surprises of this event. He showed consistent shot making from behind the 3-point line on both days we watched him play. He’s comfortable working out on the perimeter, handling, and passing. He handled a bit in transition. He spots up well in the corners for catch and shoot 3’s.
William Breall William Breall 6'3" | SG Sonoma Valley | 2024 State CA-N 6’3 SG, 707 Premier, Sonoma Valley HS
The big guard has a good set of skills. Not real fast but plays with balance and effectively uses his body to get things done. He can get inside the paint coming from different angles and finish with a paint jumper or through body contact. He handles and passes with vision in transition and along the perimeter. He can knock down the 3 from the perimeter. He has the size to rebound and push.
Hursh Mehta Hursh Mehta 6'5" | SF Archbishop Mitty | 2024 State CA-N 6’5 F, West Valley Basketball Club, Archbishop Mitty HS.
He’s a fundamentally sound player who makes good decisions on the court. He had good play around the basket, showing patience, foot work and using pump fakes to get defenders off balance before putting it in the basket. He’s a good passer, and he’ll work to get his share of rebounds.
