Victor Scott | Prep Hoops Scout
Blair performed like a spark plug, shaking defenders and firing away with zero hesitation. Undersized but never outmatched, his toughness and competitive fire set the tone for every game. He defends with grit and scores through contact despite his size disadvantage. His spark-plug mentality makes him a momentum leader and clutch-time threat.

Blair didn’t just run the show, he dictated tempo. The compact guard played with a high-IQ pulse. He blended patience and quick bursts, setting up ball screens and reading coverages like a veteran. When the lane collapsed, he delivered live-dribble dimes ambidextrously and when he didn’t, he finished with creativity and touch over size. Blair’s poise from behind the arc, decision-making, and fearlessness in traffic made him one of the standouts on the floor.

was the high-point man in the fourth quarter. The junior guard was highly efficient from the free throw line, as well as knocking down his fair share of treys.
Blair was firing and connecting from downtown early. Like Moore, if the defense did not close out hard enough, he was dialing up the triple. The guard finished the evening with 16 points.
Around 8 or 9 of those 16 points came in the fourth quarter, with most coming from the charity stripe. He was drawing contact on his drives, as well as drawing fouls when handling the basketball along the perimeter. Jonesboro plays aggressive perimeter defense, forcing a number of turnovers every game, but they could not get that out of Blair.

managed to play a good portion of the second half with 4 fouls. Despite that, he kept his composure (the calls were not great) and he played sound defense while also not fouling. This type of play from Central’s point guard will be important in the playoffs.

A sharpshooter, who’s already built like a tank for his age. He lit up the gym to the tune of 21 points with six threes. Currently more of a two or a combo than a true point, but part of the outstanding backcourt chemistry that powered Little Rock Central to a Saturday afternoon win. His scoring swagger as a smaller guard allows him to excel in a game that is often dominated by giants.

Clay is setting out to make his name one of the top names in state and rightfully so, the small guard has big time impact on winning games. He can heat up quickly and score in bunches from the field, at all 3 levels. He is a determined defender who plays with hustle and effort constantly looking to bother players on the perimeter. He capped off the season opener with 29 points, hitting 6 threes and grabbing 3 steals.

Blair is another player from the 15U Arkansas Hawks group that I was impressed with this week in Rock Hill. Blair does a terrific job of setting his teammates up with good shots. He sees the floor extremely well and dictates the pace of the game to his speed. Blair is also a strong rebounder for his size and doesn’t get picked on on the defensive end.
