Here are four guards and a big man to know from the first day:
Andrew Elwood

The guard from the Chicago area was a scoring threat and a playmaker with the ball on day one of the Midwest Grind Session. He’s a solidly built guard who mixes it up at both ends.
Tayton Jackson

Perhaps the most impressive guard on day one of the Midwest Grind Session was Jackson (pictured). This guy is a bouncy, attacking guard who has a knack for getting to the goal at full speed. He’s super crafty at both ends and creates a lot of turnovers at the defensive end. Jackson is an exciting playmaker who draws a lot of fouls with his fearless downhill style.
Cooper McGrath

Though he’s not physically imposing, McGrath is a disruptive force at the defensive end with his on-ball intensity. He jumps passing lanes and pokes away dribbles. On offense, McGrath can light it up from deep and also attacks the goal when he sees a crack.
Aiden Nevins

Nevins got to the line frequently on day one of the tournament in Wichita. He was an efficient, team-first performer for a balanced team. He’s got length for guard who can get to his shot off the bounce or shoot over a smaller defender.
Gabe Adams

And now for one big man who stood out on day one. Adams really impressed as a long post who can do just about everything. He runs the floor and gets to the goal in transition, he really dominates on the glass and made a lot of nice passes on Saturday in Wichita. He finishes with authority around the goal and is relentless after missed shots at the offensive end.
