Introducing Memphis Knights 16u

In this article:
The Memphis Knights are a typical Memphis-based AAU team in that they prefer to play fast and trap with a furious commitment. After makes, the Knights like to pressure fullcourt and they do it quite well. On May 6th, [player_tooltip player_id='1952238' first='Caleb' last='Carpenter'] completed two consecutive steals out of the trapping scheme, helping his mates to a nifty 4-0 run. Carpenter was one of the best defenders in the building.
When starting point guard [player_tooltip player_id='1952189' first='Cody' last='McGhee'] sits, then Rodderius Shambley enters. Shambley gives away some size, but he plays quick and with purpose. The hesitation dribble is his specialty. Still, Shambley needs more seasoning and strength to become a strong point guard in a city of elite PGs. McGhee, on the other hand, played in the top tier of point guards at the Prep Hoops Bluff Cty Blues. McGhee's intangibles are court vision, offensive awareness, and basketball maturity. He thrived in the few pick'n'roll opportunities his team ran. Willing passer.
[player_tooltip player_id='1952189' first='Cody' last='McGhee'] is a really tough player to match up with. Along with his ability to penetrate, McGhee hits his free throws when he earns him.
Guard [player_tooltip player_id='1919392' first='Kareem' last='Ollins'] did not score comfortably in the lane, though he did get there on occasion. Ollins' defense helped him add value to the game. In a game of quick guys, Ollins fit in. He took no outside shots. Ollins was and will be very quick all summer. He adds an energy to the game and harasses dribblers quite a bit. Ollins averaged 3.4 ppg for Ridgeway last winter off of the bench.
[player_tooltip player_id='1798576' first='Brian' last='Carter Jr.'] is the best scorer on the team and the one player to enter May with a PrepHoopsTN ranking. Carter played great in the TSSAA playoffs this past spring. Standing 6-foot-5, Carter is an enticing prospect certainly capable of playing college basketball.
