There were so many deserving players from the 17U ranks at the Jayhawk Jam that we had to make an All Star Second Team. (Be sure to check out the First Team in a separate article.)

In order to accommodate as many good players as possible, we eliminated 2023s from consideration. They will be recognized in a separate article. Same with 2025s.

Here are the 2024 17U Second Team All Stars from the Jayhawk Jam:

G - [player_tooltip player_id='1864035' first='Lance' last='Bradley'], 5-foot-11 guard, 2024, Standing Rock Community High School, Akichita:

Akichita was one of the most fun teams to watch in the 17U ranks because they played with incredible heart and positivity. They were in every game, and pulled a triple-overtime victory in one contest thanks to a game-winning jumper from Bradley. The shooting guard scored a remarkable number of buckets over the weekend. The most remarkable thing was that every opponent knew Bradley was Akichita's number one option, and yet he still found shots. The rest of the team was capable of shooting it from anywhere, and they all fought admirably, but Bradley was the scoring leader.

G – Brodee Rheinberger, 6-foot-1 guard, 2024, Winston Churchill High School, Arnold Elite National:

Rheinberger was one of the best shooters on hand at the Jayhawk Jam. The guy has great range and a quick, confident release. He's got good length and size to play physical, defend and rebound. And his size gets him good looks over defenders. He stretched the floor, opening up space for the bigs on the Arnold Elite team all weekend.

F - [player_tooltip player_id='1430535' first='Brayden' last='Gardner'], 6-foot-4 forward, 2024, St. Dominic High School, Hardwood Elite:

Another shooter for the second team, Gardner is a long wing with great hands and coordination. He is more than just a shooter, using his length and agility to provide help on the glass and defending in the paint and on the perimeter. But it's his shooting that really sets him apart. He's got great range, moves without the ball to get to open, and can dribble into shots.

F – [player_tooltip player_id='1160849' first='Ryder' last='Williams'], 6-foot-1 forward, 2024, Versailles High School, Mid Mo Elite:

Williams is a fun player to watch. He's not a guy who catches your eye immediately because he's not the tallest, strongest or fastest. But once the ball is tipped, he just makes plays all over the court. He's got a versatile offensive game that includes crashing into the lane to hit contested shots. More often than not, he winds up sprawled on the floor while the ball goes through the net. He can drop it from deep, and he's got a knack for getting the ball to teammates on the drive. He can clear the rebound and push it up the floor with vision and creativity too.

C – [player_tooltip player_id='1914121' first='Vladyslav' last='Lefimenko'], 6-foot-7 center, 2024, Tolton Catholic High School, Mid Mo Elite (pictured):

Mid Mo Elite had a wealth of guys making plays on the front line. Levi Robinson from Fatima High School deserves mention, and Reece Murdock from Versailles High School will be mentioned in an article on 2025s who played up. But Lefimenko gets this spot for his impressive physical gifts and high ceiling. When he's going right, there was no one like him at Lawrence. He's got some rough edges to smooth out. But he occasionally flashed ability that overwhelmed even the best bigs at the tournament. He's got a handle, quick hands and good coordination going up with both hands. He's powerful and fundamental around the hoop. Great potential in this guy.

There were so many deserving players from the 17U ranks at the Jayhawk Jam that we had to make an All Star Second Team. (Be sure to check out the First Team in a separate article.)
