These teams included the Zona Nation 17U that went 4-0.
Here are some of the standout players that I was able to watch during the weekend:
Zaveion Bineyard Zaveion Bineyard 6'7" | PF Verrado | 2023 State AZ Verrado (Zona Nation) (Featured Image-Left)
Bineyard oozes with upside. He runs like a guard and has an evolving offensive game. The range on his outside shot is improving as is his ball handling. He’s also a very solid rebounder and will block shots. One of the best unsigned seniors in AZ.
Donovan Beard Donovan Beard 6'2" | PG Dobson | 2024 State AZ Dobson (Zona Nation) (Featured Image-Middle)
The point guard ran the show nicely for Zona. He’s adept in both a half court setting or fast paced. He showed a tight handle and never got sped up. He scored when he needed to. He got by his man or created separation consistently to get his shot off. On defense he stayed locked in, making it difficult for who he was guarding.
Ezias Steffen Ezias Steffen 6'4" | SF AZ Compass Prep | 2024 State AZ Chandler (Zona Nation) (Featured Image-Right)
Steffan is an all-around wing who does a little bit of everything. He can initiate your offense, hand out assists, and get buckets of his own. With his size he’s a match up problem because opponents don’t know whether to put a smaller or taller defender on him.
Steven Tippit Steven Tippit 5'9" | PG Phhoenix Prep | 2024 State AZ Skyline Prep (AZ Storm)
This combo guard was a scoring machine and quickly got buckets. His range extends well beyond the three point line. Tippit is athletic and showed a good looking mid range jump shot.
Nazir Richardson Nazir Richardson 6'2" | SG Gilbert | 2024 State AZ Gilbert (AZ Prime)
An athletic guard who loves to attack the interior. His perimeter shot is improving as are his ball handling skills. On the defensive side of the ball he has the lateral quickness to guard both guard spots.
Will Clark

Thunderbird (AZ Prime)
Clark is a nice forward prospect who has a versatile offensive package. He finishes well around the rim and has a good touch out to the three point line. On defense he locks up. One of the better defenders that I saw over the weekend.
Keon Talgo

Gilbert Christian (AZ Storm)
Talgo continue to show that he’s an excellent shooter. He shoots it with consistency and range. He is a solid rebounder on both ends of the court and competes to win. He also showed the ability to put the ball on the floor and get into the paint for short jumpers.
Bo Dolinsek

Corona del Sol (AZ Prime)
Dolinsek has always had skills but now he is beginning to put it together. He has a good shooting touch out to the three point line. He has good hands and is tough to move out of the post when he establishes position. He’s a good rebounder who keeps the ball high and away from smaller players.
