The updated Class of 2024 rankings have been released and a number of guys made a push this season to move up on the list. Here's a look at the top stock risers in this most recent update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1565735' first='Jackson' last='Leach'], West Salem - +30 (from #70 to #40)

Leach ascended into the starting point guard spot for West Salem as a junior and took things to another level, all the way to being named MVP of the Central Valley League. Jet quick and crafty off the dribble, the 5-foot-9 guard not only led the Titans in scoring (13.4 ppg) but was one of 6A's leaders in assists (6.6 apg). A big spring/summer awaits as he runs with Elite 24.

[player_tooltip player_id='1565732' first='Nico' last='Rafalovich'], Jesuit - +16 (from #54 to #38)

A huge piece of Jesuit's JV squad a year ago, Rafalovich not only was promoted to varsity but went right into the starting lineup. At 6-foot-4, he's got good size for a perimeter player and his ability to shoot over defenders with accuracy was key in the Crusader attack. His shooting percentages of 52 percent from the field and 48 percent from deep were simply sizzling as he ranked second on the team in scoring at 13.4 ppg.

[player_tooltip player_id='1110843' first='Kyle' last='Counts'], Wilsonville - +9 (from #21 to #12)

One of the most versatile bigger players in the state, Counts saw all of his averages go up as a junior as he became one of Wilsonville's top threats on their way to the repeat 5A Title. At 6-foot-8 he utilizes great footwork to get open underneath but is extremely adept at shooting from the perimeter or creating off the dribble and getting to the rim. On the year he averaged 14.0 points and 7.3 rebounds on just under 59 percent shooting.

[player_tooltip player_id='1110583' first='Marley' last='Zeller'], Central Catholic - +9 (from #22 to #13)

As the year progressed, it was Zeller that emerged as Central Catholic's top offensive threat as his offensive skill level started to match up nicely with his overall athletic ability. At 6-foot-5, the rising senior is a tough matchup for opponents since he can operate both inside and create from the perimeter. On the year, he finished averaging 16.0 points and 4.9 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='1268432' first='Chance' last='Winter'], Beaverton - +7 (from #31 to #24)

The top shot-blocker in 6A as a sophomore, Winter's numbers went down a tad since transferring over to Beaverton but that was a lot due to the fact opponents were afraid to take to him inside. At 6-foot-11 and running the floor with great leaping ability, he was constantly an alleyoop threat in transition. His offensive skills continue to develop and after a spring/summer playing with Idaho Select Basketball, should really emerge as a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id='1110590' first='Kayin' last='Turner'], Sunset - +6 (from #17 to #11)

One way we've often described Turner is how he's the rare case of a player in the state who can hit a three on one possession and then finish at the rim with a two-handed power slam on the very next. The 6-foot-4 swingman stepped up his game as a junior to become a go-to guy offensively even when he was the target of opposing defenses. His averages were 16.7 points and 6.3 rebounds on the year as he shot over 40 percent from three-point range.

[player_tooltip player_id='1110573' first='Jackson' last='Owens'], Cleveland - +6 (from #27 to #21)

After being a bit player off the bench for Cleveland's state tournament team, Owens stepped into a starting role in 2022-23 and was a dependable player on both ends on a nightly basis. The 6-foot-4 forward was extremely effective in the mid-range with his one-handed floater and he was a master of utilizing the glass on his shot attempts. He ended up scoring 14 ppg in a balanced Warriors attack.

[player_tooltip player_id='1457595' first='Grant' last='Olsen'], Hermiston - +6 (from #68 to #62)

Not a lot of people in the state are aware of Olsen since Hermiston competes in the WIAA but the 6-foot-5 forward is the real deal. Long and lanky, the rising senior is very effective around the hoop and he's a credible threat facing the basket as well. During the season, Olsen surpassed the 1000 career point mark.
