We want to make sure these Kansas City players get their due recognition for great seasons.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Meadowlark League:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Terry Rowe</strong>, 6-foot guard, 2023, Sumner Academy – 1st team</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sumner posted a nice record despite having some really good teams on their schedule. They took Basehor-Linwood to the wire at substate. Rowe was a dynamic leader at guard, averaging 19 points as a shooting guard who could create his own opportunities, particularly on the break. He plays fast and creates havoc.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Eastern Kansas League:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Jackson Ackerman</strong>, 2023 Blue Valley – 3^rd team</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A big man who was second on the Tiger team in scoring, Ackerman was productive for a competitive team. Most impressive was his efficiency around the goal. He hit 62% of his attempts. He averaged 15 points and 5 boards.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Zach Sand</strong>, 6-oot-3 forward, 2023, Blue Valley North – 3^rd team</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sand was a big perimeter player who provided a lot of versatility in a supporting role for a state-bound team. He stepped out to pose a threat from deep, rebounded and defended wings. He was one of the team's leaders in assists too.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kaw Valley League:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Reid Krikke</strong>, 6-foot-4 center, 2023, Heritage Christian –1st team</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A big who provided rebounding and efficient paint scoring for a really good team, Krikke went sort of underappreciated. He led the team in rebounding and was a reliable option for a team that consistently put up a lot of points.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Sunflower League:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1496162' first='Ben' last='Webb']</strong>, 6-foot-2 guard, 2023, Shawnee Mission South – 1st team (pictured)</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A sniper, Webb was the leader of a competitive team with a rugged schedule. He averaged 17 points in his senior year as a big guard who could get shots off despite being the focus of defenses.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
