Sagna, out of the MacDuffie School in Massachusetts, checks in at #16 among the point guards and #128 overall. Sagna got a late start to his senior season, but has come out strong since making his return to the hardwood. He’s a power guard with a physically advanced frame and high level athleticism, both traits that help him to operate as an elite defender, particularly in the open floor. He’s a crafty finisher at the rim, has some wiggle off the bounce as a driver, and knows how to use his strength to play through contact in the paint. He makes good decisions in transition and shows the ability to score out of isolations in late-clock situations. He’s a scholarship level talent that is currently uncommitted but should have some options at the Division I level come the spring.

First observation on Pat and I liked what I witnessed. He has a lot of talent around him so I would love the opportunity to watch him play again. Meaning there is only one basketball and a lot of mouths to feed on this loaded MacDuffie team but he took over the game at times; was an absolute Alpha in the scoring department. He had some tough contested finishes around the rim. He was dribbling in a phone booth when he had the chance. Defensively he can guard 94 feet, boxes out and tags players when in rotational defense. I would project him as a low level-mid-major D1, with a great D2 career.

Sagna makes his first appearance in the New England rankings at #130. The MacDuffie School guard is a quick twitch ball-handler that does a nice job of playing at different speeds, using his quickness to get into the paint and showing good floor vision once he’s in there. He’s a crafty finisher around the rim that has plus athleticism and the ability to score it over size in the paint. He’s a plus defender that is solid at the point of attack in the half-court, as well as at the top of the press. He’s really good laterally and has quick hands that allow him to make life difficult for opposing ball-handlers.

Found teammates for scoring chances of their own. He takes big strides on the attack and can go coast to coast effortlessly on the attack. He shows flashes on explosive athleticism. Sagna shows flashes as a microwave scorer who can fill it up with ease on the offensive end. He found ways to get to the charity stripe. He needs to work on his shot selection and look to play off two feet when on the attack.
