Shoaf led the Oak Grove varsity squad in his senior season as he continues to climb the PH radar in the final rankings update. He finished the season posting 21.6 points, 3.7 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game on 50 percent shooting from the floor and 38 percent shooting from deep. The Grizzlies upset top-seed East Henderson 75-72 in the second round of the NCHSAA 3A State Playoffs behind 26 points from Shoaf. He’s a confident guard who knows how to play the right way.

Shoaf is an emerging presence with Oak Grove High who’s off to a hot start with 24.4 points, 3.4 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game as they’re 9-3 heading into the bulk of conference play. He’s shooting an efficient 57 percent from the field and 49 percent from behind the arc as he continues to move up the 2025 rankings in the state of North Carolina. DII/DIII/JUCO programs would be wise to get eyes on him!

Shoaf continues to deliver against good competition, posting 30 and 27 in his last two contests of teh weekend. I saw his game today where he was able to score the ball at will from the outside, showcasing a pretty jumper and really looking to take advantage of whatever space he has in front of him. When attacking downhill, he likes to finish with creativity and avoid length and contact due to his shorter than average frame. Solid playmaker but still improving in that department, more of a scorer off the ball.

Shoaf is a combo guard to keep eyes on out of Oak Grove High as he’ll suit up with NC Spartans Vlazny. He’s a crafty guard who’s shown he can get others involved and knock down shots with efficiency on the perimeter attack. He produced 16.1 PPG, 2.7 APG, 2.6 RPG and 1.6 SPG on 33 percent shooting from deep during his junior year of high school. He’s a solid decision-making guard for college programs to get eyes on given his pedigree for winning games.

Shoaf has really gotten going already in AAU season, and combined with his performances at Oak Grove, should become a name to know by the time the season is over. He’s got a lethal shooting touch, with extended range and an ability to get his shot off against tough defense. Getting better at distributing and leading an offense both at the school and grassroots level, which is the next major step in his development.

Shoaf is an emerging name out of Oak Grove High due to make waves in the 2025 class. He moves into the 91st spot and off the watchlist with a new season upon us. He’s capable of operating at either guard role with his ability to make plays for others and knock down shots when given opportunities. He’s a name to keep eyes on for college programs in the region.

Shoaf is an intriguing guard prospect that should be able to take over primary ball handling duties for Oak Grove this upcoming season. He’s able to facilitate well despite his smaller stature, able to weave in and out of traffic and find teammates. He’s a good shooter too, knocking down 3s from the perimeter all summer and generally able to be a perimeter threat every time he steps on the court. Also a crafty finisher around the rim to compensate for his size. Not a plus defender but still lots of time to improve that for him. Should be in line for a big season this winter.
