Under the Radar 2024 Guards to Watch this Spring

<p>The spring AAU season is here with teams looking to make a name for themselves this month. The 2024 class has the potential to make a big name for themselves this summer, especially the guards. Here are the under the radar 2024 guards to watch this spring.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1050402' first='Josh' last='Moore'], 5'9 PG Montgomery</strong></h2>   <p>Moore had a solid junior campaign for the Cougars and should make plays this spring. The 5'9 guard has a good handle, which he uses to get to the rim and finish. Moore has a nice touch in the mid-range and can knock down open jumpers from behind the arc. He gets his teammates involved in the half court and moves his feet on the defensive end. Moore's ability to run the offense is something that will help his stock in a big way this spring.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1456834' first='Tre' last='Powell'], 6'0 CG Medford Tech</strong></h2>   <p>Powell had a big season for the Jaguars as he put up nearly 600 points in 2022-23. The 6'0 guard has a quick first step, which he uses to blow by his defender and finish at the rim. Powell has a good release on his jumper and is unafraid of drawing contact in the paint. He is a solid passer and gets deflections on the defensive end. Powell is a scoring guard prospect who should continue to fill up the scoreboard this spring.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1572031' first='Trevor' last='Moncrease'], 6'5 CG Hillsborough</strong></h2>   <p>Moncrease is an intriguing prospect to watch as he can influence the game in a number of ways. The 6'5 guard has a good shooting stroke and can knock down triples in bunches. Moncrease uses his size to see over his defender and is unselfish with the ball in his hands. He has the ability to play either on or off the ball and has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor. Moncrease is a long, two-way guard prospect whose ability to stretch the floor is something that will help his game in a big way this spring.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1557105' first='Jianni' last='Moran'], 5'9 PG Fair Lawn</strong></h2>   <p>Moran has the potential to breakout this spring after a good junior season for Fair Lawn. The 5'9 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and wastes little motion in his release. Moran is more than just a shooter as he can also get to the rim and finish. He plays with good floor vision and is an underrated rebounder. Moran is a lead guard prospect to watch with his ability to hit shots and run the offense effectively.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1050412' first='Anthony' last='Trombetta'], 5'10 G Middle Township</strong></h2>   <p>Trombetta had a solid season for the Panthers and is looking to carry it over into the spring. The 5'10 guard has a clean shooting stroke as he wastes little motion and sets his feet before he shoots. Trombetta moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself up for open layups and jumpers in the half court. He is a good rebounder for a guard his size and is an underrated defender.
