10. [player_tooltip player_id='1897882' first='Jack' last='Johnson'] - Albuquerque Academy (50th Overall)

Johnson transferred to Academy this year, and fit right in with the Chargers. He was somewhat of a glue guy for this team, hustling and playing defense, but also providing offense when needed. His stats were not available, but his impact mainly comes from outside of the statsheet. He is a jack-of-all-trades (pun not intended), someone who can accommodate any needs his team requires. Johnson's main role is as a lockdown defender, able to get out on shooters quickly, and has the lateral quickness to keep up with anyone. He has the capability to run the offense when needed, and will definitely have an expanded role moving into next year, as this formidable Chargers team will bring back 4 out of their 5 starters from their championship squad.

9. [player_tooltip player_id='1685444' first='Kyle' last='Morris'] - Bosque (49th Overall)

Simply put, Morris is the most efficient player on this list. He averaged 19.7 PPG on an spectacular 57% from the field, along with 3.8 RPG and 3.6 APG. He hit 1,000 career points in his varsity career for Bosque this year, cementing himself as one of the great scorers from the school. Morris used his creativity on offense to help earn the Bobcats a spot in the 3A Playoffs, and he had an impressive 13 games where he scored 20+ points on 50% or higher from the field. An even more impressive stat, in 5 of those 13 games, he shot 70% or more, which is incredible efficiency. On a Bobcats team that's only losing 2 seniors, Morris will remain a marquee player in 3A, and will hope to bring his team back to the playoffs, and into the further rounds, something this team is more than capable of doing.

8. [player_tooltip player_id='1903316' first='Cole' last='Baca'] - Cibola (48th Overall)

Though he's relatively undersized compared to his competition, Baca fits the scrappy, defense-oriented point guard archetype to a tee. At 5'9”, he uses his speed and endurance to play hard the entire length of the game, and he has significant strength that makes him switchable on defense even at his size. His impact stretches beyond the stat-sheet, though he also fills the box score with steals, averaging 3.3 steals over 8 games of district play. He's also one of the top rebounding point guards in the state, as his frame allows him to box out bigger players and snag boards. He's a naturally unselfish player as well, wanting to create for his teammates all times. With Cibola bringing back 4 out of their 5 starters and basically their entire bench from last year, Baca will look to lead this Cougar team to success next year.

7. [player_tooltip player_id='1685517' first='Zane' last='Rush'] - Grady (44th Overall)

Rush might be the most positionless player on this list, as he's a swiss army knife-type player for Grady. One of the best player in 1A ball, he averaged 20.6 PPG (13th in state, 2nd in 1A), 2.8 RPG, and 1.5 SPG this past year. He was also 8th in the state in double-doubles with 3. At 6'2”, he has the size to finish over larger defenders, but also has the speed to slice his way inside and create easy opportunities for himself. He won multiple MaxPreps Player of the Game honors throughout the year, and has a chance to continue his statistical dominance in 1A next season with a Bronchos team that is bringing back the majority of their roster. Though they had some ups and downs during this past season, they have a shot to be a true darkhorse team to win 1A District 6, and possibly secure a spot in the 1A playoffs.

6. [player_tooltip player_id='1679999' first='Josiah' last='Marfil'] - Rio Rancho (43rd Overall)

The Rams had a great season, and Marfil played his role for the Rams beautifully. He arguably played more of a combo guard role, but nevertheless, he was dependable no matter where he was placed on the floor. He averaged 5.5 PPG, 1.8 RPG, and 1.2 APG, and only got better as the season progressed. He was hyper-efficient when he played, with the highlight of his season being against Los Alamos, where put up 21 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals in a dominant 93-68 win. Marfil is a sharpshooter who can make any type of 3-point shot even when contested, coming up clutch in many situations. With big shifts occurring in Rio Rancho's roster makeup, especially in their backcourt, Marfil's role will only grow from here, and he'll have all of next season to prove his full talent to the state of New Mexico.
