Recently, I had the pleasure of watching some of the best forward players in my state, and I was blown away by their skills, athleticism, and determination. These players are not only changing the game, but they are also setting a new standard for what it means to be a forward player in basketball. In this article, we will take a closer look at some of these players and how they are changing the game for the better. Whether it is through their innovative strategies, their ability to adapt to new situations, or their unique skills and talents, these players are truly making a difference in the world of basketball. So, let’s explore some of the ways in which the forward position is being transformed by the game-changing players of today.
Keyshawn Watkins Keyshawn Watkins 6’4″ | PF Columbia | 2024 State AL . Watkins is a very effective offensive player who poses a danger from all over the floor thanks to his exceptional shooting range. He can manufacture his own shot, and his fast reflexes enable him to easily elude opponents. Tucker has the potential to make a significant impact on the court for any collegiate team in the future. Tucker possesses great athleticism and has a good feel for the game, allowing him to make quick decisions with the ball in his hands. His shooting ability, both from mid-range and beyond the arc, is impressive for his age and is only expected to improve with time. In addition, Tucker’s size and length make him a valuable asset on the defensive end of the court. He has the ability to guard multiple positions and is not afraid to put his body on the line to make a stop. With continued development, Tucker will be a sought-after prospect for college coaches everywhere, So coaches he ain’t hard to find.

With an impressive 25 points per game average, he is now ranked second in the state for scoring amongst all forwards. It’s no secret that his hard work and dedication have paid off, but it’s his off-court attitude that truly sets him apart.
However, Durden’s success on the court isn’t just a result of his great personality. He is an incredibly skilled player with a strong work ethic. He is always looking for ways to improve his game and is constantly studying the game of basketball to enhance his abilities.
Offensively, Durden has an impressive arsenal of moves, including a deadly mid-range jump shot and the ability to finish with both hands at the rim. He also possesses a strong understanding of how to get open and create scoring opportunities for himself.

Tyquan Simon, a 6’3 power forward from Aliceville High School, is quickly making a name for himself as one of the most dominant players in the state of Alabama. Despite being undersized for his position, Simon makes up for it with his strength, athleticism, and incredible work ethic. He is also a state champion!
Simon’s game is defined by his ability to score in a variety of ways. He can knock down shots from the perimeter, beat his defender off the dribble, and finish through contact at the rim. His post-up game is also impressive, as he is able to use his strength and footwork to create space and score over taller defenders.
But Simon’s impact on the game goes beyond his scoring ability. He is a tenacious defender who takes pride in shutting down his opponent’s best player. His quick hands and instincts allow him to generate turnovers and get his team out in transition.
