Under the Radar Unsigned Seniors

In this PHLA exclusive, we will highlight some ranked seniors who are flying under the radar but should be good players on the next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1213569' first='Jakobe' last='Dykes'] (6'5" | Shaun Dumas)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dykes is one of the most versatile seniors that the Boot has. He can score at all three levels and when he is hot from three, he is one of the hardest players to guard. He has a high release on his jumper and can score in bunches from the perimeter. Dykes is a finisher at the rim as well. He is a senior who can be a game changer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1381596' first='Ronneal' last='Harold'] (6'6" | Amite)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Harold is a long and lean player who is best at running the floor and defending the rim. His ability to finish above the rim and change or alter shots definitely helps his team. He can play with his back to the basket but he is better in open floor situations. Harold is a player who can be a difference maker on both ends of the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1381591' first='Maurea' last='Hudson'] (6'4" | Northwood)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hudson was on a team that probably was not as successful as some and he got off to a slow start due to coming back from an injury this season. However, he has elite athleticism and can handle the ball to facilitate an offense. When Hudson does not have the ball, defenders need to watch out when it is time to box out. He is a player who you do not necessarily have to run plays for because he is athletic enough to contribute. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1471640' first='Noah' last='Jones'] (6'4" | Broadmoor)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jones is coming off of a district MVP season in Baton Rouge. He has definitely put in the work to become a three level scorer and a better defensive player. Jones has improved his explosion to the rim while maintaining his soft touch from three. He has range to about 24 feet and can get hot quickly. Jones can be a game changer if he plays on the next level like he did this season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1130730' first='Kerrick' last='Morris'] (6'3" | Southwood)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Morris was one of the reasons Southwood had the district record they had this season. He is a guard who can slash or shoot from three. Morris is a talent that can run the floor as well and spot up quickly in transition. Morris is not shy on the defensive end either and will guard the best player for the opposition. He is a player who can fit in and contribute if given the opportunity. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1213563' first='Randarius' last='Morris'] (6'4" | Northwood-Lena)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Morris helped the Northwood-Lena Gators win a state championship this season. He was coming off an injury this season but made the most of his opportunities in the paint. He is a forward who does not mind banging with others and is good at capturing rebounds when they come off the rim. He is an athletic bruiser who can score in the paint. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>These players may not be the focal point going into a college program. However, they will be contributors once they find a home. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
