It’s impossible to discuss the best high school athletes in PA without quickly mentioning Kelly, and the future Ohio forward went out fighting while showcasing his top-notch physical gifts and gradually developing skillset. A truly elite run-and-jump force, Kelly has expanded his game from an undersized energy forward into an inside-out wing scorer. He would struggle to get going from the perimeter in this one, but still showcased his improved stroke and ball skills while also picking up scrap points near the rim. With the athleticism fit for the highest levels and a steadily-running motor to match, Kelly should be able to get on the floor early in the MAC to be able to continue refining his overall feel and skillset.

Kelly (23 ppg.; 1,400+ point scorer) is one of the most athletic and bounciest prospects in the region. He is committed to Ohio University for hoops, but at Chambersburg he also played football and is a two-time state champion in the triple jump. On Tuesday night, Kelly’s agility, hops and scoring skills were on full display as he posted 26 points in win over Carlisle. Kelly did all his scoring inside the arc. He repeatedly got out on the fast break for lay-ups or dunks. In the half-court Kelly’s quick first step and elusive handles got him into the lane for runners and finishes at the rim. Additionally, Kelly pounded the offensive boards for put backs.
