Truthfully, I could cover nearly every player from this game; everyone contributed in some form or fashion. Moreover, it was a joy to see how VT's game elevates when you bring top talents from all over the state and put them together on one floor. The South came away with a 92-85 victory; now it's time to get familiar with these standouts below!

Ronnie Riby-Williams, 5'11 G - Montpelier High School Class of 2023

Ronnie set the tone defensively with his non-stop tenacity. His ball pressure was highly disruptive as it culminated in a number of turnovers. And once the rock was in his hands, he was off to the races, finishing at the rim himself and making plays for others. Plus, he hit the glass, hustled for 50/50 balls, and took care of the pumpkin. Excellent two-way effort from Ronnie; I didn't expect anything less.

[player_tooltip player_id='2313016' first='Sawyer' last='Ramey'], 5'10 PG - Fair Haven Union High School Class of 2023

Throughout the game Ramey showed his versatility. Sawyer got to work at all three levels, with finishes at the cup on both sides of the rim, a mid-range pull-up, and a 3 to go with. But even more so he facilitated. Ramey made cross court passes into shooting pockets, led guys with dimes in transition, and managed to sneak away from interior scrums with his high-level handle. His ability to see the floor and make pinpoint passes is undoubtedly top in the state; fun showing from Sawyer.

Josh Brown, 6'3 W - Essex High School Class of 2023

Josh put together a really nice game, finishing with 15 points as he led the South squad to victory scoring wise. He put up 11 in the second half with fundamental two-level scoring at the rim and in the mid-range. He showed slashing ability, post work, and pure hustle for second chance buckets. Furthermore, Josh showed he's a dynamic defender who covers 2-4 and makes hustle plays. Brown's 15 was efficient and in the flow of the game.

Owen Pinaud, 5'10 G - Mount Mansfield Union High School Class of 2023

Mr. Pinaud made a huge splash coming into the second half. Owen knocked down a couple 3's to spark a run for the North, and he capped it off with a finish at the iron off of a heady steal. Moreover, he collected long rebounds on both sides of the ball and pushed in transition. His facilitation was measured and wise, moving the ball quickly and hitting guys with timely passes. Pinaud plays the game simply and wisely.

Isaac Davis, 6'7 F - Spaulding High School Class of 2023

The big man was putting in work! Isaac played some bully ball around the bucket, showcasing strong post moves and a soft touch around the rim as he added eight points. Yet he showed nice awareness too, quick to kick out to verbal and open shooters. Plus, he collected some offensive rebounds and got on the floor for loose balls to capture extra possessions. And of course, his interior defense was locked in against the bigs on the North side, playing physical and tough. Davis showed great feel all around.

[player_tooltip player_id='1578570' first='Noah' last='Earl'], 6'2 G - BFA St. Albans Class of 2023

Noah spread his energy across the box score. Earl collected rebounds and a steal or two, then offensively he made a steady impact. He showed nice vision, feeding bigs out of ball screens and pushing the ball in transition for hockey assists. Plus, he added a few buckets, most notably a huge two-hand jam in transition and a crisp three from the top of the key. I loved seeing his balanced and effective approach.

Austin Wheeler, 6'1 G - Lyndon Institute Class of 2023

The inside/out scrapper showed fantastic instincts all evening. Austin happened to be in the right space at the right time more often than not as he collected rebounds and made snappy outlets to spark the break. He ran the floor a ton himself, and his hustle was rewarded with simple passes for easy finishes at the rim. In addition, Wheeler competed with whoever he defended and must've had a positive +/-. Nice showing from the Lyndon product.

Tavarius Vance, 6'2 G - Spaulding High School Class of 2023

It seemed like whenever Tavarius had the ball in his hands he made the right decision. Vance made smart and effective reads all game. He showed nice vision in transition, finding lane runners and spot up shooters with crisp passes. Additionally, he added a couple of nice finishes at the rim himself. Moreover, he showed nice focus defensively and on the boards. TV's steady two-way game helped the South separate on the scoreboard.
