Five Most Intriguing District Championship Games

Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at the five most intriguing district championship matchups tonight. No. 1 seed Staley is a veteran team that is seeking a state championship after finishing third in the state tournament last season while Oak Park is a talented team that is full of underclassmen and looking to jump the shark this season. The two teams met earlier this season with Staley taking a solid xx victory over December xx. That happens to be Oak Park's only loss of the season. They will meet for the third time this season with CBC winning both meetings during the regular season. Both teams have had the bumps along the way, but appear to be hitting their stride at the right time. CBC enters the game on a five-game winning streak, which includes wins over top Class 5 teams Cardinal Ritter and Cape Girardeau Central. Nixa enters the game with a 28-0 record, which included a 65-62 victory over Kickapoo on Feb. 1 at Nixa. It was a game where Kickapoo actually rallied to take the lead the fourth quarter. Nixa has been led by 6'4" 2023 [player_tooltip player_id='1070087' first='Kael' last='Combs'], who has been a potent scorer and playmaker while the veteran Chiefs are led by 6'6" 2023 [player_tooltip player_id='1161311' first='Brayden' last='Shorter']. Rock Bridge is no stranger to district titles and postseason success.
