Hakeem Weems is a post-grad forward playing for IMG Academy. He’s a lanky prospect with eye-catching fluidity. He can space the floor a bit, and he can put the ball on the floor with a strong handle for his size. He looks almost like a Paul George type of guy with the fluidity his handle has, just flowing from combo to combo.

Weems is a long armed forward who uses his length to give him an advantage on both ends of the floor. He finished with 20 points and nine rebounds in their win over New Hampton. I would like to see Weems become more cautious with the basketball he can be a turnover machine. He attempted 18 free throws but left a few of those chances on the board. He is by no means a finished product and shows mere flashes but is slowly starting to put it together piece by piece.

is starting to climb on recruiting boards. At 6-foot-9 with length and springs, Weems has the physical tools to warrant offers. He runs the floor well and catches alley-oops on the move. He caught two lobs and had a dunk in transition for his three field goals in a 57-32 win over GAC. Weems has burgeoning ball skills and is a threat to push the ball coast-to-coast.

. With Fleming out, Weems stepped up and played a key role throughout the weekend. At 6’8, Weems possesses a legit perimeter skillset, able to take defenders off the dribble or knock down the open three-pointer. Now at Osborne, he should garner a lot more attention playing alongside other top prospects in the state.
