Angelo Dickerson

Expert Analysis
Miles Masercola | Prep Hoops Scout
Dickerson has made the move to Combine Academy and really found himself in a vital role with this group. Dickerson is a crafty offensive player with deep range on his shot. He’s got great size for a kid that possesses the ability to play on the ball and is able to bully smaller guards in the post when they’re guarding him. Dickerson has the ability to take the game over from any level on the offensive end. As he continues to adjust to those around him, he’ll only become more efficient with this group. Defensively, Dickerson can use his size and athleticism to impact smaller guards in a negative way, along with being a more than capable contributor on the glass. Combine has had some player turnover this year, but it looks like Dickerson is here for the long haul.

Might be the prospect with the highest ceiling in the program, combo guard with good size that can dribble, pass and shoot. His shot creation inside the arc and shot-making from outside it kept Premier in the game on a day where the offense wasn’t flowing as well as it normally does due to some tough defense played by WeR1. He’s much more decisive in his reads off the bounce, getting to his spots to raise up for a shot or find a teammate. His body has improved and his attention to detail at the defensive end of the floor has as well. His development athleltically as well as seeing some of the more advanced passing reads with the ability to switch defensively will likely determine his ceiling—but there is a ton to like here.

-Dickerson begins to prove the doubters wrong as a microwave scorer that is also capable of finding teammates and helping off the glass. The smooth lefty guard plays with a ton of confidence and hit his first three off the bounce before knocking down some set shots and hitting open teammates off of baseline drives. As he learns how to take advantage of the scoring gravity to draw 2 defenders to create easy looks for teammates off the bounce– he will be a really difficult prospect to guard.
