There are three games today that we need to track. Not only because they are good matchups but because there is talent that is developing on all of these teams involved.

Bingham vs. American Fork

Bingham has been on a little run as they turned a few heads with their last two wins as they took out Westlake and Pleasant Grove. There is one thing for certain that you will get from Bingham and that is a solid defense. Size wise Bingham has some decent guard size but nobody can really matchup with AF. [player_tooltip player_id='1278436' first='Luke' last='West'] could have a good matchup with [player_tooltip player_id='1057050' first='Tiger' last='Cuff'] and Bingham has many guards that can handle their other guards. This game could come down to who shoots the best from deep. With a weapon like [player_tooltip player_id='934024' first='Aaron' last='Dunne'] a player that can shoot he could be a big player in this game.

Players to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1146657' first='Jason' last='Peterson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1206952' first='KJ' last='Jenson']. These are two players that can work the perimeter and help Bingham score.

[player_tooltip player_id='1538434' first='Blake' last='Rawson'] and Jaxon Durrant, both of these player could dominate the boards and make this game an out of reach game.

Fremont vs. Layton

Two pre-season favorites to win Region 1 and here we are as they face-off. Against Farmington [player_tooltip player_id='1115931' first='Hunter' last='Hansen'] had his first non double digit game, do not expect that two games in a row. Hunter has had his way with smaller guards so his defensive stopper will need to be chosen wisely. [player_tooltip player_id='1206892' first='Brock' last='Mendoza'] for Layton could have himself a night if he can dominate the boards and get easy put-backs. [player_tooltip player_id='1057040' first='Mekhi' last='Martin'] has that strong and smooth game that could turn into a pick your poison type of game. If [player_tooltip player_id='1057041' first='KJ' last='Miller'] gets open looks and hits 4+ three-pointers this game could get out of hand.

Players to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1142816' first='David' last='Calvert'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1206792' first='Boston' last='Hadley'] have both been playing well. They could be big time in this game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1057040' first='Mekhi' last='Martin'] and Crew Harrop this is a game that will require good guard play and these two can really get things going.

Riverton vs. Pleasant Grove

This is a huge game all the way around. PG is looking to bounce back and Riverton is out to prove that they're for real. Jaxon Kereks has an opportunity to really light up PG as they have had trouble with teams that have tough scoring guards. Size wise PG has more height but Riverton seems to have a plan against teams with size. This will be a game that you can see a player like [player_tooltip player_id='1199505' first='Isaac' last='Garrett'] having a great outing. Probably the best pre-season matchup before everyone starts region play.

Players to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='1116161' first='Stratton' last='Johnson'] and Carter Nixon. If they are on from deep this game could be over sooner than later.

All of PG'S guards they will need to step up.
