made history for Hope Christian, becoming the program’s all-time leading scorer during their matchup against Albuquerque Academy. Giron finished the game with 13 points and 9 rebounds, continuing to show why he has been such a consistent and reliable option for Hope throughout his career.
Giron brings a calm presence to the floor, something that will be crucial as Hope prepares for its semifinal matchup against Artesia. While he is always a dependable scoring option, his impact often shows up just as much on the defensive end. His ability to protect the rim, control the glass, and limit second-chance opportunities will be a key factor as Hope looks to slow down Artesia and control possessions.

did everything well for the Huskies on day two. He showed great control in the post on both ends of the floor and moved well around the block, consistently putting himself in the right position to rebound. Defensively, he elevated to block shots and defended the inbound effectively. His ability to score in the paint was on display throughout the game, and he also showcased the ability to score at all three levels. Brayden had 21 points going into halftime and played with a calm, poised demeanor, never appearing too high or too low on any possession. He was a key contributor in Coach Murphy’s 900th career win.

Giron displayed one of the most polished and mature offensive approaches at the camp. He excelled in the midrange and around the basket, where his footwork separated him from his peers. Using pivots, fakes, and patience, Giron created high-quality looks and rarely forced a bad shot. His jumper was smooth and consistent when he stepped out to the perimeter, proving he could score both inside and out. What stood out most was Giron’s decision-making. He never looked rushed, always under control, and made defenders pay if they gave him too much space. His offensive versatility makes him a reliable guard who can adapt to different styles of play. With his strong shooting base and steady presence, Giron projects as a guard who can stretch defenses and contribute efficiently at the next level.

Giron shows upside as a floor spacer, capable of getting up the shot over incoming contests. Staying shot ready on spot-up attempts, the wing is an immediate threat following a pass. Along with his impact spacing the floor, he was an active shot blocker throughout this past season. Active rotating on the help side or maintaining position versus an opposing forward, Giron looks to be a versatile defender over the coming seasons. The sophomore is especially active pushing the break following a block, typically looking to dish it to one of Hope Christian’s guards. Following averages of 8.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game, the forward is certainly among the more intriguing names within the 2026 class.
