The annual National Hoopfest took place at DeMatha again this year, and as always it featured some of the top teams from all over the country and was absolutely loaded with prospects for all levels. It has become a must for college coaches to stop by, and with all the talent it makes sense.

We will take a long look at the many standouts from the event, and here we look at part two of some of the standouts from the Virginia schools.

If you'd like to see watch the replay of all the games, you can find them on the CBG Live Network.

[player_tooltip player_id='992528' first='Dennis' last='Parker'] Jr. | 6'7” WF | John Marshall '23

With JM in an absolute dog fight against DeMatha in the final game of day one, and three of their starters fouling out, Parker stepped up big and the NC State commit helped will his team to a big win in a hostile environment. The 6'7” wing showed his entire arsenal as he showed his ability to put it on the deck and get to the rim to finish, he made plays off the bounce for others and he made timely shots when they needed him to. He finished with 26 points in their win, going 9-for-20 from the field and 7-for-11 from the line.

Jason Rivera | 6'6” WF | John Marshall '23

Rivera is a new addition to this JM squad, and he brought a huge boost to them with his toughness and IQ as well as his production throughout the game. He made good decisions with the ball in his hands, he played with a terrific motor defensively fighting for loose balls and rebounds and getting a lot of deflections and his physical style of play led to him getting to the line a lot and converting more often than not. He finished with 14 points, 13 rebounds and 3 steals and was 10-for-15 from the line.

[player_tooltip player_id='1259621' first='Dominique' last='Bailey'] | 6'2” WG | John Marshall '24

Bailey was the other starter left on the floor for JM when the game came down to the line, and he was perhaps the main reason they were able to hold on and get the victory. The 6'2” wing is one of the top defenders you'll come across and did a great job both frustrating opponents and forcing turnovers, he rebounded against players bigger than him, he fought for every loose ball and he hit timely free throws down the stretch to seal the game. He finished with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 steals and made huge plays down the stretch for them.

[player_tooltip player_id='1164551' first='Latrell' last='Allmond'] | 6'8” PF | John Marshall '26

Allmond may just be a freshman, but don't get it confused as he can dominate the game with his physical presence and he has a lot of tools that makes him one of the top freshmen you'll come across no matter where you are. He's a physical player who can outmuscle guys older than him and command the paint on both ends of the floor, he finishes through contact and can both play above the rim and has finesse as a finisher and he is a big time shot blocker and rebounder as well. He finished with 11 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks in the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='999626' first='Khalil' last='Williams'] | 6'5” WF | Potomac School '23

Williams is one of the most under appreciated players in the DMV, and he showed that in Potomac School's win over Takoma Academy as he was productive across the board and showed his ability to take over games as a scorer. He's at his best when he gets downhill and finishes at the rim through contact, he can score the ball from multiple levels and gets hot quickly and with his size and scoring ability he's a walking mismatch. He finished with 23 points and 8 rebounds on 9-for-15 shooting in their win.

[player_tooltip player_id='1489077' first='Elijah' last='Flowers'] | 6'7” F | Potomac School '24

Flowers is another very intriguing prospect for Potomac School that should have a big junior season as he continues to carve out more of a role for him. At 6'7” he has a long and wiry frame that allows him to make plays defensively and around the rim, he has a solid skillset with the ability to put it on the deck and make shots from the perimeter and he has a lot of room to continue to improve. He finished with 12 points and 4 rebounds on 5-for-8 shooting from the field in their win.

The annual National Hoopfest took place at DeMatha again this year, and as always it featured some of the top teams from all over the country and was absolutely loaded with prospects for all levels. It has become a must for college coaches to stop by, and with all the talent it makes sense.
