<p>With the start of the Boys High School Basketball season underway in New Mexico, several In-Season Tournaments kick off this weekend. One of those tournaments is the Bobby Rodriguez Capital City Tournament consisting of eight teams: St. Michael's, Valencia, Valley, Fairfax, Los Alamos, Santa Fe Indian School, Espanola Valley and Santa Fe. This article will go over the top players to keep your eyes on throughout this tournament. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1301617' first='Adam' last='Montoya']</strong> "St. Michael's" Guard Class of 2023: [player_tooltip player_id='1301617' first='Adam' last='Montoya'] and the St. Michael's Horsemen are 1-0 to start this season after a season opener win vs Los Alamos. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1301617' first='Adam' last='Montoya']</strong> started the year off with a double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds. He is without a doubt the best player competing in this tournament and will showcase why this week. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1076720' first='Ali' last='Abdullah']</strong> "Valencia" Forward Class of 2023: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1076720' first='Ali' last='Abdullah']</strong> is coming off a 26-point game last time out vs Del Norte High School. He will have a favorable matchup vs the St. Michael's Horsemen in the First Round of the Bobby Rodriguez Capital City Tournament. Despite Valencia being 0-2 to start the season, they've lost both games by a combined six points. Don't be surprised if the Jaguars make some noise in this tourney. </p>

<p><strong>Tyler Kozlowski</strong> "Valley" Shooting Guard Class of 2024: <strong>Tyler Kozlowski</strong> started off the season with a bang with 19 points in the season opener vs Albuquerque. He will be the top shooter in this tournament is a threat every time he touches the basketball. Expect the Valley Vikings to get him going early in this tournament and if he gets in the zone, the Valley Vikings can win this tournament. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1678146' first='Mariano' last='Perea']</strong> "Valencia" Point Guard Class of 2023: Valencia's floor general [player_tooltip player_id='1678146' first='Mariano' last='Perea'] will be a huge X-Factor in this Bobby Rodriguez Capital City Tournament. His playmaking and decision making will be on display as the Jaguars look to make some noise in this tournament. </p>

<p><strong>Luciano Mondragon</strong> "Valley" Point Guard Class of 2025: Luciano Mondragon played well in the season opener vs Albuquerque. He was the most exciting player to watch during that game scoring 13 points and leading the ship for the Vikings as the primary ball-handler. If he can continue to attack the basket at will and set up for his teammates, the Vikings should find success in this tournament. </p>
