<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1076702' first='Shane' last='Douma-Sanchez']</strong> (Del Norte) Guard Class of 2023: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1076702' first='Shane' last='Douma-Sanchez']</strong> flirted with a triple double in the season opener vs Pojoaque Valley. He scored a New Mexico season high of 35 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and dished 9 assists. <strong>Shane</strong> was 5/10 from behind the three-point line and 8/11 on free throws. He also eclipsed the 1,000-point milestone in Del Norte's 80-58-win vs Pojoaque Valley.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1176300' first='Kenyon' last='Aguino']</strong> (Volcano Vista) Power Forward Class of 2025: Scored a game high 26 points vs St.Pius and led Volcano Vista to a 75-40 victory. <strong>Kenyon</strong> started the game strong and scored 12 in the first quarter. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1680000' first='Tyler' last='Kozlowski']</strong> (Valley) Shooting Guard Class of 2024: Scored a team high 19 points vs Albuquerque High in Valley's 64-49 win at home vs the Bulldogs. <strong>Tyler</strong> made a trio of three-pointers in the season opener. </p>

<p><strong>David</strong> <strong>Gutierrez</strong> (Volcano Vista) Shooting Guard Class of 2024: <strong>David</strong> was the team's second leading scorer in the teams 75-40 win on the road vs St.Pius. He scored 14 points and collected 7 steals in the season opener. He was arguably the best player on the floor with teammate <strong>Kenyon</strong> <strong>Aguino</strong>. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1360191' first='Andrew' last='L. Hill']</strong> (Sandia) Guard Class of 2023: Led the Matadors to an 87-58 win on the road. <strong>Andrew </strong>scored a game high 28 points and had one of the highest scoring games in opening week. He made 5/9 of his three-pointers and shot 10/20 from the field. He had a double-double with 10 rebounds. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1633060' first='Ac' last='Munoz']</strong> (Mayfield) Shooting Guard Class of 2024: Scored the second most points of any player on opening week 35. Defeated Silver 61-39 on the road. </p>

<p><strong>Chris Parra Jr.</strong> (Atrisco Heritage) Point Guard Class of 2023: Led the Atrisco Heritage Academy Jaguars in scoring with 26 points in route to a 88-64 win vs Rio Grande. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1176301' first='Latavious' last='Morris']</strong> (Atrisco Heritage) Point Guard Class of 2025: The sophomore Star picked up where he left off at the end of his freshman year last season. He was the Jaguars second leading scorer with 21 points in the 88-64 victory on the road @ Rio Grande. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1485758' first='Alexis' last='Dominguez']</strong> (Highland) Point Guard Class of 2023: The defending state champion [player_tooltip player_id='1485758' first='Alexis' last='Dominguez'] and the Highland Hornets started off their title defense with a 71-41 blowout win on the road vs Bernalillo. <strong>Alexis </strong>led the Hornets in scoring with 19 points. and dished out 6 assists. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1076706' first='Ely' last='Lovato']</strong> (Sandia) Guard Class of 2023: Was the Matadors second leading scorer in their 29-point victory on the road vs Cibola. [player_tooltip player_id='1076706' first='Ely' last='Lovato'] finished the night with an efficient 17 points to start off his senior year and grabbed 7 rebounds.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1124236' first='Elijah' last='Foster']</strong> (Cibola) Small Forward Class of 2024: Despite Cibola losing their season opener to Sandia at home 87-58, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1124236' first='Elijah' last='Foster']</strong> tied for the team high in scoring with 16 points. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1295239' first='Jonathon' last='Lukesh']</strong> (Rio Grande) Shooting Guard Class of 2024: The Rio Grande Ravens lost their season opener to Atrisco Heritage 88-64 but was led by their Junior Shooting Guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1295239' first='Jonathon' last='Lukesh']</strong> who finished with 23 points. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1295237' first='Alvin' last='De La Cruz']</strong> (Cibola) Guard Class of 2024: Despite losing to the Sandia Matadors at home to start the season, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1295237' first='Alvin' last='De La Cruz']</strong> came to play and scored a team high 16 points with [player_tooltip player_id='1124236' first='Elijah' last='Foster']. </p>

<p><strong>Alex Alfaro</strong> (Deming) Small Forward Class of 2023: Despite the loss to Alamogordo in the season opener, Alex Alfaro played well and recorded a double-double. He scored 24 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to start off his senior season. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1176298' first='Jalin' last='Holland']</strong> (Los Lunas) Shooting Guard Class of 2025: The top player in New Mexico started off his sophomore season on the road against Farmington. He led the Tigers to a 55-46-win leading the team in scoring with 20 points. </p>

<p>[player_tooltip player_id='1076721' first='Ezra' last='Guest'] (Los Lunas) Shooting Guard Class of 2023: [player_tooltip player_id='1076721' first='Ezra' last='Guest'] from Los Lunas was the team's second leading scorer with 16 points in the 55-46 season opener win. The next day vs Piedra Vista he led the Tigers in scoring with 17 points in the 69-32 win to improve to 2-0. </p>
