To preview the upcoming high school basketball season, Prep Hoops Wisconsin takes a look at a handful of prospects who haven't gotten enough coverage:

[player_tooltip player_id='1551765' first='Jayden' last='Hackett'] -- SF -- Bay Port

There is a lot to like about Hackett's game. The Bay Port small forward has been underrated for much of his high school career, but now he seems to be turning a corner. Coming off a tremendous AAU season, Hackett enters the upcoming high school season with a lot of momentum. The 6-foot-4 SF is overall a very impressive prospect. He scores well from many different areas on the court and is also able to defend well. Look out for Hackett to make a major impact this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1372516' first='Cam' last='Werner'] -- PF -- Racine Case

Playing on a squad that was able to make it to the Kohl Center last season, Werner was able to show flashes of greatness as a junior. Now, the power forward should return to Racine Case as a senior with an expanded role. Standing at 6-foot-8, Werner has unteachable positional size. Werner puts this size to use. The PF finishes around the rim at an efficient clip. I think that Werner's game is still developing, and I wouldn't be surprised if he is able to make a major leap this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1522427' first='Kaine' last='Fort'] -- PF -- Peshitgo

Recently tabbed as a potential breakout senior, Fort is entering the 2022-23 high school season with a lot to prove. The power forward has shown flashes of greatness recently. As a scorer in the paint, Fort does a solid job of using his combination of size and skill to get buckets. He possesses solid footwork, good touch, and is able to finish through contact. Any college programs looking for a big man should certainly keep an eye on Peshitgo's Fort.

[player_tooltip player_id='1142741' first='Reid' last='Tengblad'] -- PF -- Holmen

Tengblad's 6-foot-6 frame allows him to do a lot on the basketball court. On the offensive end, the power forward can use his size and physical strength to finish tough layups in the paint. Tengblad has also shown some glimpses of promise as an isolation scorer on the perimeter. On defense, the Holmen product is a solid athlete who protects the paint very well. He does a great job of playing physical, tough defense without fouling.

[player_tooltip player_id='1433774' first='Isaiah' last='Deitz'] -- SF -- Chequamegon

If there was one player who could shoot up the rankings at the conclusion of this high school season, it would be Chequamegon's Dietz. The 6-foot-6 small forward averaged a double-double last season as a junior. Now, with his game improved, Deitz should be able to put up some monster numbers. My favorite thing about the SF is his versatility. Dietz can score well from all three levels, guard multiple positions, rebound well, and even dish out some impressive assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='1198880' first='Lucas' last='Rameker'] -- SG -- St. Mary's Springs

Being reliable is often a struggle for many high school basketball prospects. Producing at a high-level day in and day out is just very difficult, especially for young basketball players. This isn't the case for Rameker. Consistency is the St. Mary's Springs shooting guards calling card. His squad can always count on Rameker to step up and play well. The SG scores from many different spots, plays fantastic defense, and is overall just a tremendous teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='1522560' first='Tristan' last='Johanknecht'] -- PF -- Oshkosh West

Poised to produce big time numbers in the FVA this season, Johanknecht is a name to know. Two-way power forwards are a dying breed in today's modern game. Johanknecht plays a tough and physical brand of defense on both ends of the court. On offense, he can score well in the paint. He does a great job of using his size and strength to score over smaller defenders. On defense, Johanknecht protects the paint well and blocks shots.
