The question was, “Who will win their region?”
Region 1
Syracuse 18%
Fremont 18 %
Layton 35 %
Davis 29 %
The numbers show what we think as well that although there might be a favorite or two there are some teams that might get hot or catch someone on an off night. Farmington will have to show a lot as they lost their identity by loosing one of the best players in the country along with a lot of role players. Paul Beattie Paul Beattie 6'9" | PF Farmington | 2024 State UT will have his work cut out for him. Weber has some great pieces and a player in Hunter Schenck Hunter Schenck 6'2" | PG Weber | 2024 State UT that can really take over a game.
Layton has a lot of players that can hurt you and with the re-emergence of Mekhi Martin Mekhi Martin 6'2" | PG Layton | 2024 State UT at point guard and this team is clicking I can see why the field might think they could run the table.
Fremont could rally hit this year especially if Hunter Hansen Hunter Hansen 6'4" | PG Fremont | 2024 State UT keeps it rolling like he has, he is one of the best players in that tough Class of 2024.
Kaden Ericksen Kaden Ericksen 6'2" | CG Syracuse | 2023 State UT over at Syrcause is not alone as he has some dudes that can help him pull some big wins out this season.
Davis is in better shape than you might think after loosing so much talent.
Region 2
Cyprus 83 %
Kearns 12%
Hunter 2 %
Roy 3 %
It is going to be tough to de-throne Cyprus they have so much talent and they are all in this year. Quentin Meza Quentin Meza 6'0" | PG Cyprus | 2023 State UT is very focused and looking great and his athleticism is starting to really shine through.
Region 3
Copper Hills 17%
Riverton 11%
Bingham 50%
Herriman 22%
The culture of Bingham really shines through in this poll as Bingham has just been that program that has had a choke-hold on the Region. They will have some games that will have multiple people in double-digits. Really like the progression of Brayden Whitehead Brayden Whitehead 6'10" | C Bingham | 2023 State UT and a sleeper player on the squad is Carson Bagley Carson Bagley 6'0" | PG Bingham | 2023 State UT .
Copper Hills has a good player in Kyson Hymas Kyson Hymas 6'5" | SF Copper Hills | 2023 State UT who has game and not a lot of players will be able to hold him in the region.
Riverton has some guys that can help and Jaxon Kereks is a solid next level prospect.
Herriman has some of the best talent on paper in the region with a lot of known names and they will not surprise anyone and it will be fun to see them put it together.
Region 4
Corner Canyon 48%
American Fork 24%
Pleasant Grove 26%
Lone Peak 2%
Region 4 is wild like always and one of the wild cards is the addition of Bron Roberts Bron Roberts 6'11" | SF Pleasant Grove | 2023 State UT at Pleasant Grove. This team is stacked in the front-court.
American Fork is huge and even then their guards are good. Look for Tiger Cuff Tiger Cuff 6'4" | CG American Fork | 2024 State UT and Ashton Wallace Ashton Wallace 6'4" | CG American Fork | 2023 State UT to really benefit from their bigs led by Blake Rawson Blake Rawson 6'8" | PF American Fork | 2024 State UT .
Lone Peak has some young pieces but Luke Fotheringham Luke Fotheringham 6'3" | SF Lone Peak | 2023 State UT is solid.
Corenr is really good and if their role players like Kellen Lewis really take to their role it will make things easier for Max Toombs Max Toombs 6'3" | CG Corner Canyon | 2023 State UT and Brody Kozlowski Brody Kozlowski 6'8" | SF Corner Canyon | 2024 State #103 Nation UT .
