Potential Division I Signees to watch in Louisiana

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the Division I signing period beginning November 9th, there will be a lot of players around the country in the class of 2023 signing with the college of their choice. In Louisiana, the early signing period looks like it will be a quiet one. Even with the period being uneventful in the Boot, there is no time like the present to look at potential Division I signees in the state. These players will be some of the hottest commodities when the regular signing period begins in April.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Possible signings</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There may be one player that potentially signs during the early period and that would be Scotlandville big man <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1475974' first='Dorian' last='Booker']</strong>. He is the only top ten player currently playing in Louisiana to commit thus far. He is one of the best players in the country and has been a top 100 recruit. <strong>Hardy</strong> turned a lot of heads at Peach Jam this summer. He is a three level scorer who has improved on the defensive end and has been in big game situations. This should lead to a few offers. Point guards are always at a premium on the next level and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1130920' first='Canin' last='Jefferson']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1055169' first='Kam' last='Johnson']</strong> are two of the best in the Boot. Both guards showed success playing against bigger competition on the Nike circuit and are proven big game performers. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='970125' first='De'Vion' last='Lavergne']</strong> was another player who garnered interest at the JSE Top 100. He can play both guard positions and his defensive effort is top tier. It will be hard to see him not receiving a DI offer. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1273398' first='Cardez' last='Norman']</strong> rebounds the ball like a grown man and he is a finisher around the rim. His physique translates well to the next level and will be a window cleaner wherever he lands. Teams can never have enough shooting. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1273359' first='Elliot' last='McQuillan']</strong> fills that need and he can defend. Athletic slashers who are good in transition fit on a lot of teams. <strong> [player_tooltip player_id='1213753' first='Shad' last='Levy']</strong> is a player who may end up on a DI roster because that is his strength. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The season has not begun so there is plenty of time to still land a Division I offer for the players above and others within the Louisiana rankings. <strong>Jalen Bolden</strong> showed a ton of people that they can play their way into the right offer within a season.
