Alex Sherwood Alex Sherwood 6'4" | SF Xavier | 2023 State WI — SF — Xavier
In my opinion, Sherwood was one of the biggest stock risers from this past AAU season. While playing for Wisconsin Crusaders, the small forward was super impressive. Standing at 6-foot-7, Sherwood has excellent size for a small forward. But even though the SF has great positional size, the Xavier prospect does most of his work on the outside. He is an incredible three-point shooter who puts a lot of pressure on opposing defenses. Look for Sherwood to leave a strong impression on scouts in his final high school basketball season.
Ethan Heck Ethan Heck 6'5" | SG West Depere | 2023 State WI — SG — West De Pere
Already committed to Michigan Tech, Heck is a name to keep a close eye on this season. While playing for Wisconsin Crusaders this past summer, I thought that the shooting guard was able to do some really impressive things. The West De Pere prospect is a lights out shooter from range. As a pure catch and shoot shooter, it doesn’t get much better than Heck. And while his best skill is shooting from deep, Heck has proved that he isn’t one dimensional. The SG can also knock down shots in the mid-range and finish at the cup.
Riley Yonker Riley Yonker 6'2" | SG Menasha | 2023 State WI — SG — Menasha
Yonker is a name that smaller college programs should have on their board. The Menasha shooting guard is a jack of all trades prospect who can do many different things on the court at a high level. He scores well, can pass, plays hard on defense, and isn’t afraid to crash the glass and fight for rebounds. At the college level, Yonker is definitely a prospect who can impact winning.
Langdon Nordgaard Langdon Nordgaard 6'3" | SF West De Pere | 2024 WI — SF — West De Pere
I really love the effort and intensity that Nordgaard brings to the court. When the small forward laces up his sneakers, you can guarantee that he is going to make a strong positive impact for his team. Standing at 6-foot-3 with a strong build, Nordgaard does a nice job of using his size and strength to overpower opposing players in the paint. He is a physical defender, strong rebounder, and capable scorer. Look for Nordgaard to have a solid season at West De Pere this fall/winter.
Andrew Baumgart Andrew Baumgart 6'3" | SG West De Pere | 2024 WI — SG — West De Pere
Baumgart is a prospect who really raised his stock this past spring/summer. While playing with Wisconsin Blizzard, the shooting guard was able to make a strong impression. Standing at 6-foot-3, Baumgart is a bigger shooting guard. He uses his size to guard multiple positions on defense and get tough layups to fall on offense. I love how Baumgart isn’t afraid of contact. The SG has no problem using his size to his advantage.
Michael Metcalf-Grassman — F — Shawano
Last season, Metcalf-Grassman was able to tally nearly 20 points while also snagging 6.6 rebounds per game. On the offensive end of the court, the forward can do it all. He has a tight handle, smooth jumper, and is capable of getting to the rim and finishing layups. On defense, Metcalf-Grassman has a knack for jumping passing lanes and creating turnovers.
