Arizona Top 250 Expo: Defensive Standouts

He also showed very active hands as he was trying to pick the opponents pocket every time. Easily one of the best defenders in his class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1278778' first='William' last='Dixion'] <strong>Tucson</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A strong wing player who defended his position extremely well. One of the few players who played both ends with the same level of intensity.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1633022' first='Charles' last='Cobbs'] <strong>Chandler </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cobbs was a pest on defense as he guarded his man closely and made sure that things were tough for them. He also played excellent weak side defense having numerous deflections in addition to collecting steals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1633054' first='Waleed' last='Belgaied'] <strong>Hamilton (Featured Image)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A tough player who led by example defensively for his squad. He made sure he did some basic defensive principles that aren't common in showcases like talking on defense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1430449' first='James' last='Steward'] <strong>Marcos de Niza </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This was my first time seeing this young man. He was possibly the best shot blocker at the event. Steward contested very well at the rim and showed good timing on his blocks by not going for many fakes. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
