Prep Hoops New Mexico Preseason Watch List: Part One

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the upcoming High School Basketball regular season just one month away, there is a few players across New Mexico that is on my watch list for the 2022-23 season. This season he will be the face of the Highland Hornets and the primary scoring option. He will prove his value this season as they are set to defend the 4A State Title. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:separator {"className":"is-style-wide"} --> <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide"/> <!-- /wp:separator --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1301617' first='Adam' last='Montoya'] "St. Michael's" SG: The Star Horsemen Shooting Guard led his squad to the 3A State Championship Game last season and has some unfinished business to settle. He is one of the better all-around guards in New Mexico and looks to capitalize on his breakout year from last season. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:separator {"className":"is-style-wide"} --> <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide"/> <!-- /wp:separator --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1124238' first='Elijah' last='Brody'] 'West Mesa" Forward: A lot of eyes will be on [player_tooltip player_id='1124238' first='Elijah' last='Brody'] this season following his transfer from Cleveland High School. In my opinion he was the missing piece for the West Mesa Mustangs last season and will live up to expectations this year. He is a tough-nosed point guard who has a huge chip on his shoulder. [player_tooltip player_id='1076720' first='Ali' last='Abdullah'] is an athletic forward who is quick on his feet. He has a quick first step and easily passes by defenders.
