-He was a beast in the 1on1 portion of the day
-Scored well in the 4on4 as well (I did not see him much in 5on5)
-Took some darn good defenders to the rack & scored, made it look easy
-Played bully-ball around the basket at times
-Defenders just bounced off him, this Bruin is strong!
-Not all power & athleticism, had some crafty reverse finishes
-Good use of his jab step, created space & attacked
-Hit many mid-range J’s
-Altered shots, picked a pocket with sneaky hands
-Crossed up the D, handles look tighter
-Many points in traffic
-Finished with the R-hand a few times

He is defending at a high level this spring. Abakar has great switchability, he can defend 1-5. He is leading BTG in scoring this spring. Abakar finishes above the rim but also reads pinching help D and kicks to shooters on the wing. He is a matchup migraine with his combo of shooting, ball handling, speed, and physicality.

WHY?
-Long lefty, noteworthy athleticism, performed well at TC Takedown
-Scores from all levels, protects the rim, matchup nightmare
Does he play hard all game, take high% shots & limit TO’s?

Abakar was in attack mode on Saturday morning against Starks Elite . He’s a big, strong, and agile wing/forward who simply couldn’t be stopped around the rim. Anytime he caught the ball, he was looking to attack the basket, showing a quick first step at his size, the ability to change direction off the dribble, and the body control to go up and finish through some contact. Flashed a bit of a mid-range game as well, able to hit shots over size with a smooth lefty jumper. He knows he’s the biggest/strongest player on the court, and takes advantage of it every possession.
