BYGLA Battle at the Beach Front Court Prospects

On Saturday evening, several of Southern California's top talent came to play and gave us a preview of what is to come. He has grit to his game and displays toughness and isn't afraid of contact. Mazzini has the ability to catch on and contribute at the D3 and NAIA levels.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["994931"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Although he finished the game with only 6 points, it was Gumwel's defense and effort that did the talking and he was key to Rancho Christian's upset victory over a national ranked Southern California Academy team.  Gumwel played almost the whole game and had to guard the SCA front court rotation of Juslin Bodo, Drew Fielder, [player_tooltip player_id='994918' first='Devin' last='Curtis'], all D1 prospects.  Gumwel did an excellent job protecting the rim, altering shots, and being a presence in the paint on defense.  He ran the floor, boxed out, and put his body on the line and kept his arms up.  Lorenzo Romar and Pepperdine are getting a good one in Gumwel.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"align":"","mode":"preview"} /-->
