Christian Hammond Christian Hammond 6'3" | CG Dream City Christian | 2023 State AZ || Dream City Christian || 2023 ||
Christian was the best player of Day 1 as he displayed an array of skills and reached in his deep bag. Christian matched up against a scrappy team that was showing different coverages on defense and you can see him really process what they were doing and how quickly he was able to make the right read. Off the dribble attacks were fantastic as he showed his running layup package as well as his floater game package. Really makes everyone around him better. Santa Clara really got a steal with him and when he touches down there he will be able to learn and develop his game even more.
Max Toombs Max Toombs 6'3" | CG Corner Canyon | 2023 State UT || Corner Canyon High School || 2023 ||
Corner Canyon had a great matchup against an athletic team with size and athleticism. Max was great on the ball as he did take over some ball handling and he did what he does best and that is get low and in-front of his defenders and found ways to finish. When you watch him as a fluid contributor moving the ball around he looked great passing, rebounding and just doing a lot of the little things. He probably had one of the dunks of the night as he rose up and put a kid on a poster. Max was running the break well, even caught a lob. This team is clicking well when Max is getting it going. Really like what we are seeing from him right now.
Aaron Dunne Aaron Dunne 6'9" | C American Fork | 2023 State UT || American Fork High School || 2023 ||
When AF tipped off last night they put out one of the biggest line-ups you can see at the high school level and Arron at 6’9 was kind of the 3 as he found himself out in the perimeter a lot. What we saw that made him a standout was the improvement. His footwork has gotten better, his rebounding and running up and down the floor is better. He is shooting the ball better and he will step out and hit three-pointers as well. On the block he is quicker and just converting and making plays. He could be a sleeper D1 kid if this is just the beginning that we are seeing right now.
Jaxon Best || Lone Peak High School || 2024 ||
Jaxon seemed like a 4th or 5th option yesterday and that quickly changed as he was lighting it up from deep as he was putting up some tough jumpers late in the shot-clock. Jaxon hit a few off the move and some catch and shoot as well. He has a good release that a quick release at that. He is going to be a zone buster and in a scramble as he does relocate well. Last night he hit 7 three’s or so and he was feeling it.
Quentin Meza Quentin Meza 6'0" | PG Cyprus | 2023 State UT || Cyprus High School || 2023 ||
Quentin is a stud. He just finds ways to impact the game, even if he is not scoring even if he is off the ball. Quentin hist big shots and is just a dog out there. He will be a great get for a D1.
