Knox-Morrow Athletic Conference (KMAC) Preview

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The KMAC tends to usually have at least a team or two that finds some tournament success. Last year it was East Knox, who won a District Title and found themselves in the Regional Semifinals in Division IV. The new year brings new teams to watch, with some familiar faces still being present and prepared to lead their teams.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Predicted Finish</span></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:list {"ordered":true} --> <ol><li>1. <strong><em>Northmor</em></strong>- The Golden Knights were in the middle of the pack in 2022, but return one of the best players in the conference and in Central Ohio in <strong>Grant Bentley</strong> (Jr) for the new year. Moving down to Division IV could actually play out well for the Knights and if they can get someone alongside Bentley, could be a surprise District Finalist out of D4.</li><li>2. <strong><em>Fredericktown</em></strong>- Return their top guy in <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1163472' first='Kaid' last='Carpenter']</strong> (Sr) from last year who has been one of the top players in the conference for a few years now. </li><li>3. <strong><em>Centerburg</em></strong>- Last year's conference champion is always competitive, but will now be without their top player and scorer from a year ago.</li><li>4. <strong><em>Mount Gilead</em></strong>- Return 2 of their top 3 from a year ago. <strong>Elijah Chafin</strong> (Jr) will be returning from an All-District season and <strong>Carter Kennon</strong> (Sr) will need to provide senior leadership.</li><li>5. <strong><em>Danville</em></strong>- Blue Devils have their best guy returning in <strong>Walker Weckesser</strong> (Jr), but they will need to vastly improve to move up in the standings after winning only 8 games last year.</li><li>6. <strong><em>East Knox</em></strong>- Losing their top 2 from a Regional Semifinal team. Moving up to Division III on top of the loss of that talent could spell problems.</li><li>7. <strong><em>Cardington</em></strong>- Moving up to Division III, but don't return any high volume productivity to compete against the rest of the conference.</li></ol> <!-- /wp:list -->
