Expert Analysis

Backos has had a really good spring grassroots season with Greg Grant Basketball Club and that continued at the Michigan State Tournament. He’s shown a versatile offensive game. Backos has been reading his opponents, taking what’s there, and executing. If a defender plays off, he’s been catching and shooting in rhythm. If they play up like this weekend, he’s been able to attack off the bounce and finish.

The Joshua’s were key for Greg Grant Elite. Backos was a wing who knocked down shots from the corner. The chemistry between Backos and Perkins was easy to see as a majority of Backos points came off assists from his teammates. Backos also crashed the glass and got second chances for his team. Combine that with patient takes off the bounce and he was an easy choice for standout performer.

Backos is definitely a player to keep an eye on with Greg Grant Basketball Club 2025. He’s really dangerous off the catch and shoot and is especially dangerous in the corners. His transition from catch to release looks so smooth. Backos is a willing passer that can see up the floor and deliver the ball.
