There were many, many new additions to the rankings after impressive summers from a number of players. But, here are five players that are worth mentioning as they enter into the 2023 rankings:
The high-flying Gray is a high-level athlete, and this supreme athleticism really makes Gray an impactful player when on the court. Gray is a 6’7″ guard, and the combination of length and athleticism make Gray a great defensive prospect. He can guard multiple positions and brings excellent all-around versatility to the table.
Jeffers is a long, hype-athletic combo wing that’s a menace when in the air, as he’s got excellent leaping ability. This vertical explosion makes Jeffers a really great rebounder for the position. And, you can oftentimes find Jeffers running the court after pulling down a rebound and turning defense into offense.
Highlights
Heading to The Newman School, Joseph-Brown is a big-bodied guard that uses his strength and physicality to his advantage. He’s really good at muscling through the lane and he’s got a complimentary floater and mid-range game. The combination of inside and mid-range scoring, plus the slashing ability makes Joseph-Brown a very intriguing player to watch.
The one of many things that makes Dushie special is his off-ball movement. He’s great at moving around the court without the basketball, as his feel for the game gets him to his spots. He knows where his teammates are most comfortable. He runs the floor really well, and is a constant threat to score when he’s active.
Another BCRI product, Abdullah is a high-level guard that’s incredibly creative and crafty. He’s great at using his elite ball-handling ability to get to his spots on the score. Once he’s got you with his handle, he’ll pull from anywhere and knock it down. He’s an emerging, legit offensive player that’s going to continue making strides.
